ANOKA TOOK ON LAKEVILLE NORTH IN THE QUARTERFINAL GAME OF THE MSHSL GIRLS' BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

The Anoka Tornadoes took on the Lakeville North Panthers in the quarterfinal game of the girls state
basketball tournament at the Target Center.

Lakeville North looked to push the ball up the court. They did a good job of getting the ball down the
court and getting it to their big men.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team was able to go on a run.

Lakeville North went on a run midway through the first half.

Even though Anoka had a hard time making shots in the first half they didn’t give up. They continued
to take the ball down the court.

Lakeville North continued to hit their shots late down the stretch.

At halftime the score was Lakeville North 34 and Anoka 14.

Lakeville North's Rachel Banham played well throughout the game. Her teammates knew where she
was on the floor and got her the ball in spots where she could make baskets.

Lakeville North was too strong for Anoka.

Lakeville North came away with the 64-40 victory over Anoka.

The leading scorer for Anoka was Shauni Payeur with 14 points. The leading scorers for Lakeville
North were Rachel Banham with 27 points and Apiew Ojulu with 14 points.
