Annandale and Bryon went up against
each other in the state quarterfinals of the 2013 state boys'
basketball tournament.
Bryon got out to a quick 14-8 lead with
11:45 left in the first half. Annaledale didn't back down however as
they fought right back and were able to get within two points.
The game got close midway through the
first half. The score went back and forth for a good portion of the
first half.
Both teams played hard throughout the
first half.
Annaledale got the lead late in the
first half. They had a 23-16 lead with 5:40 left in the first half.
Bryon came up with some nice shots late
in the first alf. They were able to stay in the game late in the
first half.
At halftime the score was Annandale 33
and Byron 23.
As the second half got underway Bryon
kept on attacking the basket. Tyler Coble was all over the floor for
Byron. Coble was able hit shots from everywhere on the floor.
Both teams took a lot of time off the
clock by swinging the ball around the three-point line.
Annaandale got the ball into the hands
of Kyler Fobbe. Kyler Fobbe was able to find the basket with ease
throughout the game.
Both teams seamed relaxed and calm
throughout the game.
Annandale didn't give up any easy shots
late in the contest. Annaandale came away with the 56-42 victory
over Byron.
