PROVIDENCE ACADEMY TOOK ON BRAHAM IN THE CLASS AA GIRLS BASKETBALL STATE SEMIFINALS

The Providence Academy Lions took on the Braham Bombers in the state class AA state girls basketball state semifinal game.

At the first media timeout with 14:41 left in the first half the score was Braham 7 and Providence 4.

Providence swung the ball around the three-point line to take time off of the clock. Providence looked to get fast break baskets. They were able to get everyone involved in the offense.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Braham was able to get out and get some baskets in transition.

It was a very physical game. Braahm was able to get out and run as they were able to go north and south.

Providence was able to keep up with the Braham Bombers on the offensive end.

The game was very close in the first half. Both teams were very evenly matched skill wise on the floor.

At halftime the score was Braham 27 and Providence 25.

As the second half got underway the score was close.

At the first media timeout with 14:22 left in regulation the score was tied at 29.

The score went back and forthh throughout the second half. Neither team gave up easy baskets.

Rebekah Dahlman continued to get baskets for Braham.

With 10:59 left in regulation the score was tied at 32.

There were many ties and lead changes in the game. The game was also very physical.

Braham continued to get to the basket and make her shots.

There was a media timeout with 3:30 left in regulation. The score was Braham 40 and Providence 36.

The game came down to the wire. I thought that both teams played very well throughout the game.

Braham came away with the 49-39 victory over Providence.

The leading scorers for Providence were Leah Szabla with 20 points and Taylor Finley with 12 points.

The leading scorers for Braham were Rebekah Dahlman with 25 points, Kayla Nickles with 9 points and Dani Braund with 7 points.
