LAKEVILLE NORTH TOOK ON PARK CENTER IN THE QUARTERFINALS OF THE 2013 MSHSL STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Lakeville North and Park Center went up against each other in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Minnesota State High School League state tournament.

Both teams looked like they were excited to play in the quarterfinals of the 2013 state tournament.

Park Center got out to a quick 8-1 lead with 14:14 left in the first half.

Lakeville North didn't get down on themselves as they were not able to hit shots in the first half.

Lakeville North called a timeout with 12:17 left in the first half. The score was 13-3 Park Center.

Park Center didn't shy away from shooting the ball as they were dead on from everywhere on the floor.

Park Center passed the ball around to everyone as everyone was involved in the offense. The ball usually got into the hands of Quinton Lee Hooker.

It was a very physical game both teams didn't give up any easy shots.

At halftime the score was Park Center 43 and Lakeville North 27.

As the second half got underway Park Center came out swinging. They kept on looking to get the ball into the hands of Hooker.

Park Center continued to get to the basket with ease. They did a good job of getting Hooker involved in the offense.

Park Center called a timeout with 8:27 left in regulation. The score was Park Center 54 and Lakeville North 48.

Lakeville North fought their way back in the game. They were able to make shots in clutch situations midway through the game.

Lakeville went on a run late in the contest. They were able to get within two points of Park Center with 2:00 left in regulation at 65-63.

It was a very hard fought game. All the fans stood for the last minute of the game.

The game was tied at 67 with 9.8 left in regulation.

In the overtime period both teams kept up the intensity that they had played with throughout the contest.

Park Center continued to get the ball into the hands of Hooker. He came up with some big plays throughout the game. 

Park Center did a good job of swinging the ball around the three-point line to take time off the clock in the overtime period.

JP Macura nailed a shot from way behind the three-point line.

The game was tied with 30 seconds left in regulation.

Park Center called a timeout with 22.4 seconds left in the overtime period.

Park Center came away with the 74-72 victory over Lakeville North.

I thought that both teams played well. Hooker was all over the floor for Park Center. He lead his team on the offensive end as he was able to come up with some big plays for his team.
