Eastview and Bloomington Kennedy went
up against each other in a girls' basketball state semifinal game at
the Target Center.
It was a defensive battle from the
start Eastview was able to get out to a quick 6-2 lead over
Bloomington Kennedy.
Kennedy had trouble hitting shots in
the first half. They didn't get down on themselves as they were not
able to hit shots.
The tempo of the game was really slow.
Both of these teams played very hard nosed defense as neither team
gave up any easy shots.
It was a very defensive minded first
half. Neither team gave up easy shots in the first half.

left in the first half. The score was Eastview 14 and Kennedy 9.
Neither team gave up as they both kept
on grinding.
At halftime in a defensive game the
score was Kennedy 16 and Eastview 14.
Neither team took a lot of shots in the

Eastview shot 4-16 from the field in the first half.

The pace of the game picked up a bit in
the there were many ties and lead changes in the second half.
Both teams played well in the second
half. Neither team gave up any easy shots late in the second half.

The game came down to the wire. Both
teams left everything they had on the floor. Neither team gave up
easy baskets.
In a hard fought game that was close
throughout Kennedy came away with the 43-39 victory over Eastview.

Madison Guebert with 19 and Tyra Johnson with 12 points.
The leading scorers for Kennedy were
Jade Martin with 11 points, Tonoia Wade with 10 points and Jasmyn
Martin with 9 points.
