HOPKINS WENT UP AGAINST MINNEHAHA ACADEMY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Hopkins and Minnehaha Academy squared off in a boys' basketball game. Hopkins looked to set the tempo of the game early.

Minnehaha looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 13:45 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 10, Minnehaha 4.

Hopkins used their speed to get past the Minnehaha defenders. Hopkins guard Amir Coffey came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 11:16 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 24, Minnehaha Academy 6.

The Hopkins zone made Minnehaha Academy take deep 3-point shots.

Minnehaha struggled to shoot the ball in the first half. They couldn’t hit shots that they put up.

Minnehaha wasn’t afraid to shoot 3-point shots.

Minnehaha’s Jake Richardson brought the ball down the floor and was able to handle the pressure that Hopkins applied.

Hopkins used their speed to beat Minnehaha down the floor. Hopkins was able to make fast break layups.

Minnehaha used both man-to-man and zone defenses in the first half. They wanted to try to confuse Hopkins on the offensive end.

Hopkins came up with fast break layups late in the first half. They moved the ball down the floor well and were able to get past the Minnehaha defense.

At halftime the score was Hopkins 63, Minnehaha 24.

As the second half got underway Hopkins continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Hopkins swung the ball around the 3-point line as they were able to get everyone involved in the offense.

Minnehaha struggled to shoot the ball throughout the game. Hopkins was too quick for Minnehaha.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 9:17 left in regulation. The score was Hopkins 78, Minnehaha 45.

Minnehaha struggled to shoot throughout the game.

Hopkins came away with the 86-53 victory over Minnehaha.

The leading scorers for Minnehaha were Bickham with 16 points and Suggs with 14 points.

The leading scorers for Hopkins were Coffey with 18 points and Davis and Shahid each with 17 points.
