LAKEVILLE NORTH TOOK ON EDEN PRAIRIE IN THE CLASS AAAAAA STATE QUARTERFINAL GAME

Eden Prairie and Lakeville went up against each other in a state quarterfinal game. Eden Prairie kicked off to Lakeville North.  

 

Neither team was able to get their offense going early in the first quarter.

 

Eden Prairie scored a touchdown by Alex Ihrke. The extra-point attempt was good. With 1:10 left in the first quarter the score was Eden Prairie 7, Lakeville North 0. That was the score after one quarter of play.

 

Lakeville North’s Jamiah Newell was all over the field. He picked up some big rushes for his team. Lakeville North found the end zone on a Drew Stewart short run. The extra-point attempt was good.

 

With 11:21 left in the second quarter the score was tied at 7.

 

Lakeville North looked to get into the end zone they were not able to do that as the Eden Prairie defense stepped up big. They were slowed down the Lakeville North offense.

 

Eden Prairie looked to score late in the second quarter. Josh Lanasa scored on a short catch for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt was good.

 

With 17 seconds left in the second quarter, the score was Eden Prairie 14, Lakeville North 7. That was the score at halftime.  

 

Lakeville North kicked off to Eden Prairie to start the third quarter. Eden Prairie’s Dan Fisher came up with a two-yard run for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt was good. With 7:13 left in the third quarter the score was Eden Prairie 21, Lakeville North 7.

 

Anthony Anderson found the end zone on a three-yard run for Eden Prairie. The extra-point was good.

 

With 4:31 left in the third quarter the score was Eden Prairie 28, Lakeville North 7.

 

After three quarters of play the score was Eden Prairie 28, Lakeville North 7.

 

Lakeville North looked to get into the end zone and they did that as Newell found the endzone on a short dive. The extra-point attempt was good.

 

With 11:32 left in the fourth quarter the score was Eden Prairie 28, Lakeville North 14.

 

Dan Fisher scored a touchdown on a 38-yard run. The extra-point attempt was good.

 

Fisher scored again on short yardage with 3:35 left in the fourth quarter. The extra-point attempt was good.

 

Lakeville North turned the ball over on downs and that gave Eden Prairie another crack at the end zone. They found it as Anderson looked to get into the end zone on a short y run. The extra-point attempt was good.

 

With 3:35 left in the fourth quarter the score was Eden Prairie 42 Lakeville North 14.

 

Both teams continued to move the ball down the field.

 

In the end however Eden Prairie came away with the 42-14 victory over Lakeville North.
