PROCTOR TOOK ON ST. CROIX LUTHERAN IN A STATE SEMIFINAL FOOTBALL GAME

Proctor and St. Croix Lutheran went up against each other in the Class 3A state semifinal football game.
 
St. Croix Lutheran got the ball on the 36 yard line. St. Croix Lutheran kept the ball on the ground as Hans Klingenschmitt was able to pick up nice runs and get past the Proctor defense. The Proctor defense did however prevent a first down.
 
On fourth-and-20 St. Croix Lutheran punted the ball.
 
Proctor’s Joe Carter got the ball and was able to find a hole and pick up a first down.  Proctor turned it over on downs on the next series.
 
St. Croix Lutheran was able to get chunks of yards and pick up first downs as they moved down the field. Trever Koester came up with some nice runs for his team.
 
After one quarter of play the score was tied at 0.
 
Both teams defense stepped up big as both teams had difficulties moving the ball down the field.
 
Neither team was able to move the ball in the second quarter. Both defense played extremely well in the quarter.
 
In a defensive first half battle at halftime the score was tied at 0.
 
St. Croix Lutheran kicked off to start the third quarter.  Proctor got the ball on the 40 yard line.  The
 
St. Croix Lutheran stepped up and made Proctor punt the ball on fourth-and-three.
 
St. Croix Lutheran was able to move the ball down the field in the third quarter. On fourth-and-four
St. Croix Lutheran punted the ball.
 
After three quarters of play the score was tied at 0.
 
Both teams were able to race up and down the field throughout the fourth quarter.
 
With eight seconds left in regulation Alex Bornschlegl kicked a 23-yard field goal to win the game
 
St. Croix Lutheran came away with the 3-0 victory over Proctor.
