LAKEVILLE NORTH WENT UP AGAINST CHAMPLIN PARK IN A CLASS 6A STATE SEMIFINALS

Lakeville North and Champlin Park squared off in a Class 6A State Football Semifinals at the US Bank Stadium. 

Champlin Park kicked off to Lakeville North to start the game. They were not able to move the ball to start the game. Lakeville South punted the ball on 4th-down. 

Champlin Park moved the ball down the field both through the air and the ground. Champlin Park moved the ball down the field as they looked for first downs. 

Lakeville South couldn’t move the ball down the field and Champlin Park took over on downs. 

Champlin Park’s Brock Johnson 56-yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was good.

With 3:53 left in the first quarter, the score was Champlin Park 7, Lakeville North 0. 

Lakeville North moved the ball downfield as they looked to use the whole field. Lakeville South fumbled the ball and Champlin Park recovered it. 

After one quarter of play, the score was Champlin Park 7, Lakeville North 0. 

Champlin Park’s Evan Hammonds came up with a 38-yard reception.

Champlin Park called a timeout with 11:24 left in the second quarter the score was Champlin Park 7, Lakeville North 0.

Champlin Park’s Jaice Miller came up with a 3-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point was good. 

With 11:20 left in the second quarter, the score was Champlin Park 14, Lakeville North 0. 

Lakeville South kept the ball on the ground as they looked to get into the end zone. The Champlin Park defense came up big and was able to slow down the Lakeville South offense. Lakeville North punted the ball on 4th-and long. 

Champlin Park used both the running and the passing attack to move the ball down the field. Shipman came up with a 10-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 1:26 left in the second quarter, the score was Champlin Park 21, Lakeville North 0. 

Lakeville South looked to move the ball down the field late in the quarter. Lakeville North’s RaJa Nelson came up with up a 14-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 41 seconds left in the second quarter, the score was Champlin Park 21, Lakeville North 7.

Champlin Park looked to the end zone late but was not able to come up with a touchdown. 

At halftime, the score was Champlin Park 21, Lakeville North 7. 

As the third quarter got underway Lakeville North kicked off to Champlin Park. Champlin Park looked quickly down the field as they wanted to get into the end zone. Champlin Park punted on 4th-and-3. 

Lakeville North took over on the 50-yard line. Lakeville North fumbled the ball and Champlin Park recovered the ball on the Lakeville North’s 44-yard line. 

Champlin Park punted the ball on 4th-down. 

Lakeville North took over on their own 29-yard line.  Lakeville North continued to move the ball down the field. Lakeville North’s RaJa Nelson came up with a 10-yard touchdown run. The extra point was good. 

With 2:24 left in the third quarter, the score was Champlin Park 21, Lakeville North 14. 

Champlin Park punted on 4th-and-10. Lakeville North fumbled the ball and gave it back to Champlin Park.

After three quarters of play, the score was Champlin Park 21, Lakeville North 14.

Lakeville North moved the ball down the field once again as they looked to get into the end zone. Lakeville North turned the ball over on downs.

Champlin Park’s Jaice Miller came up with a 41-yard run for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. 

With 2:56 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Champlin Park 31, Lakeville North 14. 

Lakeville North moved the ball down the field late in the game. Lakeville North found the end zone on a 1-yard run by RaJa Nelson The extra point attempt was good. 

With 1:04 left in regulation, the score was Champlin Park 31, Lakeville North 21. 

Lakeville North moved the ball down the field and looked deep but came up empty.

In a hard-fought game, Champlin Park came away with the 31-21 victory over Lakeville North.
