PARK CENTER AND MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST SQUARED OFF IN A FOOTBALL SECTION GAME

On Oct. 22, Park Center and Minneapolis Southwest squared off in a football section quarterfinal game. The game was played at Southwest High School.

Park Center kicked off to start the game. Southwest started on its own 30-yard line. Southwest fumbled the ball and recovered it. Southwest’s TK Marshall got the ball and looked to carry the ball down the field and looked to go get first downs. Southwest kept the ball on the ground as they looked to get a first down. On 4th-and-1 Southwest went for it.

Southwest called a timeout with 8:20 left in the first quarter. The score was tied at 0.

After the timeout Southwest punted the ball.

Park Center took over on their own 14-yard line. Park Center kept the ball on the ground. Desman Scott came up with a short run for a first down. On 4th-and-7 Park Center punted the ball.

Southwest took over on its own 46-yard line. Southwest’s Jaden Reed came up with a first down reception. On 4th-and-4 Southwest punted the ball.

Park Center took over on its own 25-yard line. Park Center moved the ball down the field.

Park Center called a timeout with 1:58 left in the first quarter. The score was tied at 0.

Park Center punted on 4th-and-4. There was a bad snap and Park Center couldn’t get the ball off.

Southwest took over on the Park Center 13-yard line. Southwest fumbled the ball and Park Center recovered the ball on the 25-yard line.

Park Center kept the ball down the ground.

After one quarter of play, the score was tied at 0.

Park Center punted on 4th-and-25.

Southwest took over on the Park Center 45-yard line. Southwest fumbled the ball and Park Center recovered the ball.

Park Center’s Desmond Scott came up with a long run after a penalty on Park Center. On 4th-and-14
 Park Center went for it but they were not able to come up with a first down and turned the ball over on downs.

Southwest moved the ball down the field through the air. Southwest’s Marcus Mattox came up with a first down reception. Southwest came up with first downs.

Southwest’s Nate Martes came up with a 2-yard touchdown run. The extra point attempt was good.

With 5:28 left in the second quarter, the score was Southwest 7, Park Center 0.

Park Center took over on their own 30-yard line. Park Center fumbled the ball and Southwest took over on the Park Center 34-yard line.

Southwest TK Marshall came up with a long run for a first down. Southwest went for it. Nick Flashkamp came up with a 6-yard touchdown run. The extra point attempt was good.

With 3:26 left in the second quarter the score as Southwest 14, Park Center 0.

Park Center took over on its own 35-yard line. Park Center looked to the air as they wanted to get a first down. On 4th-and-7 Park Center punted the ball.

Southwest took over on their own 34-yard line.

Park Center called a timeout with 3:14 left in the second quarter. The score was Southwest 14, Park Center 0.

Southwest couldn’t move the ball down the field.

Park Center called a timeout with 1:31 left in the second quarter. The score was Southwest 14, Park Center 0.

Southwest punted the ball on 4th-and-18.

Park Center took over on their own 14-yard line. They were not able to move the ball late.

At halftime, the score was Southwest 14, Park Center 0.

Southwest kicked off to start the third quarter. Park Center took over on their own 35-yard line. Park Center kept the ball on the ground as they looked to move the ball down the field in traffic. Park Center moved the ball down the field and got first down on the ground.

Southwest called a timeout with 10:07 left in the third quarter. The score was Southwest 14, Park Center 0.

Park Center turned the ball over on downs.

Southwest took over on the Park Center 42-yard line. Marshall came up with a first down run that put the ball on the 15-yard line.

Southwest attempted a 27-yard field goal attempt. There was a false start on Southwest. Southwest went for it on 4th-and-22. They were not able to come up with a first down.

Park Center took over on its own 22-yard line. Park Center couldn’t move the ball down the field. Park Center moved the ball down the field once again as they looked to get into the end zone. Park Center tuned the ball over on downs.

Southwest took over on its own 44-yard line. Southwest moved the ball down the field on the ground.

After three quarters of play, the score was Southwest 14, Park Center 0.

Southwest punted on 4th-and-13.

Park Center went to the air early in the fourth quarter. Park Center couldn’t move the ball and they punted on 4th-ad-6.

Southwest took over on their own 45-yard line. Southwest looked through the air again as they wanted to get the ball down the field again. Southwest fumbled the ball and Park Center took over on the Southwest 30-yard line.

Park Center kept the ball on the ground, and they looked to get into the end zone. Marcus Freeman came up with an 11-yard touchdown reception. The extra point attempt was not good.

With 5:38 left in the fourth quarter, the score was Southwest 14, Park Center 6.

Southwest took over on their own 40-yard line. Southwest moved the ball down the field as they looked for a first down. They were not able to come up with a first down and they punted on 4th-and-6.

The ball went into the end zone and Park Center took over on their own 20-yard line. Park Center kept the ball on the ground late in the game.

Park Center called a timeout with 1:11 left in the fourth quarter. The score was Southwest 14, Park Center 6.

Park Center moved the ball down the field and came Marcus Freeman came up with a 6-yard touchdown reception. The two-point conversion was not good.

With 35 seconds left in regulation, the score was Southwest 14, Park Center 12.

Both teams played hard throughout the game. Southwest was all over the field. Southwest came away with the 14-12 victory over Park Center.
