CRETIN-DERHAM HALL TOOK ON ST. AGNES IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL CONTEST

Cretin-Derham Hall took on St. Agnes in a boys' basketball game. Both teams came into the game with a record of 2-4.

Cretin-Derham Hall passed the ball around three-point line.

Cretin-Derham Hall came out on fire. They were able to get everyone involved in the plays.

It took a while for each of these teams to get into their shooting grove.

St. Agnes called a timeout with 7:26 left in the first half. The score was Cretin-Derham Hall 29 and St. Agnes 12.

Cretin-Derham Hall played a zone defense. St. Agnes was not able to get the ball to the low block. The defense for Cretin-Derham Hall was able to slow St. Agnes down offensively.

At halftime the score was Cretin-Derham Hall 46 and St. Agnes 28.

CJ Neuman was all over the court for Cretin-Derham Hall. On the defensive end he was able to slow down the person he was guarding.

St. Agnes tried to go on a run late in the game.

Cretin-Derham kept scoring baskets at will. St. Agnes was not able to come back. Cretin-Derham Hall was too quick for St. Agnes. Cretin won the game by the final score of 81-55.

PROVIDENCE ACADEMY WENT UP AGAINST HILL-MURRAY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL CONTEST

Providence Academy took on Hill-Murray in a boys' basketball game. Hill-Murray started the game out on a tear. They made shots from all over the court.

Providence started out very slowly. They scored their first points almost 5:00 into the game. Hill-Murray was all over the court. They took their time of the on the offensive end. Hill Murray was able to knock down shots.

Providence started in a zone defense. They were able to spread Hill-Murray out. Hill-Murray was able to score baskets in transition.

Providence was able to get their shots to drop late in the half.

At halftime the score was Hill-Murray 48 and Providence Academy 26.

Hill-Murray came out on fire. They kept on taking lots of time off the clock before shooting the ball.

Providence Academy was not able to get the ball in the basket consistently.

Hill-Murray came away with the 80-53 victory over Providence Academy.
 

TOTINO-GRACE TOOK ON WAYZATA IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

The Totino-Grace Eagles took on the Wayzata Trojans in a boys' basketball game. Both teams came into the game with a record of 1-3.

Totino-Grace looked to push the ball down the court.

Wayzata jumped out to quick start. They passed the ball around the three-point line and was able to get everyone involved in the play.

Wayzata took a timeout with 12:53 left in the first half. The score was Wayzata 10 and Totino-Grace 2.

Both teams went into a scoring lull. Neither team was able to hit a shot for a period of time in the first half.

Totino-Grace went on a run. They started the game out slowly and they were able to get their shots to drop late in the half.

At halftime the score was Wayzata 32 and Totino-Grace 15.

Wayzata started the second half on a run. They looked a lot quicker then Totino-Grace.

Totino-Grace looked tired. They didn't give up.

In a game that was got out of hand early. Wayzata trampled Totino-Grace by the final score of 69-28.

MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST TOOK ON HOLY ANGELS IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Minneapolis Southwest took on Holy Angels in a boys' basketball game. Minneapolis Southwest came into the game with a record of 2-6. Holy Angels came into the game with a record of 3-1.

Southwest guard Camden Knuckles took the ball hard to the basket. If he was not able to get a good shot he would pass it to one of his other teammates.

Holy Angels went on a run in the beginning of the game. Southwest wanted to slow the game down.

Holy Angels did a good job of moving the ball down the floor.

Southwest called a timeout with 13:19 left in the first half. The score was Holy Angels 12 and Southwest 4.

Akeem Smith took the ball hard to the basket for Southwest. He knew where he was on the floor and was able to take good shots.

Southwest looked to get the ball into the hands of Josh Barnes. Barnes was all over the court. He was also not afraid to shoot the ball.

Holy Angels Danny Sullivan came up with some nice lay-ups and kept his team at an advantage.

Even though Southwest had trouble hitting shots in the first half. They kept on going hard to the basket.

Holy Angels used a full court press. They were able to bother the Southwest guards.

At halftime the score was Holy Angels 35 and Southwest 19.

Both teams dove on the floor for loose balls. They also fought for rebounds on both ends of the court.
Holy Angels continued to take the ball hard to the basket. They were able to hit shots throughout the game.

Southwest had trouble finding the basket throughout the game.

Holy Angels came way with the 63-33 victory over Minneapolis Southwest.

The leading scorer for Southwest was Will Kalberg-Taylor with 15 points. The leading scorers for Holy Angels were Danny Sullivan with 15 and Delshon Strickland with 11 points.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL TOOK ON TRINITY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

International School took on Trinity in a boys' high school game. International came into the game with a record of 2-3. Trinity came into the game with a record of 1-2.

Both teams took a while to figure out what the other one was doing.

International took their time on the offensive end.
.
International called a timeout with 15:02 left in the first half. The score was Trinity 9 and International 0.

Trinity used a full court press and they were able to get a few steals and was able to convert on the offensive end.

International ran a motion offense. They looked to pass the ball around the three-point line and looked for easy shots.

Tony Kuplic for Trinity drove hard to the basket and was able to get to the basket. He was able to make his shot.

Trinity went to a full court press. They were able to get steals and turn them into points.

Trinity looked like they were a little quicker and more skilled than the International players. The International players worked hard on both ends of the floor.

At halftime the score was Trinity 39 and International School 13.

Trinity continued to pass the ball around the three-point line and take as much time a they could on the offensive end.

Trinity went on a run with 16:00 left in regulation. International School was not able to make a shot to open the second half. They came out just as cold in the second half as they did in the first.

International School didn't get down on themselves when their shots were not falling. They went for loose balls and rebounds.

Trinity was up by 35 at the 8:00 minute mark and the game went into running time.

Trinity School was too much for International School. Trinity came away with the overwhelming 69-27 victory over International School.

BETHLEHEM ACADEMY TOOK ON ST. PAUL HUMBOLDT IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Bethlehem Academy took on St. Paul Humboldt in a boys' basketball contest. Bethlehem Academy came into the game with a record of 7-0. St. Paul Humboldt came into the game with a record of 1-4.

Bethlehem started the game in a zone defense. Humboldt also started the game in a zone defense.

Bethlehem pushed the ball down the court and looked to score baskets in transition.

Dominique Khammarth for Humboldt was able to bring the ball down the court easily. He was able to blow by his defenders.

Bethlehem made it difficult for Humboldt to shoot the ball.

It took a while for each of these teams to feel each other out. Neither team went on a run early in the game. The score was close.

Humboldt was able to score baskets in transition. Malique Adams-Virning was able to drive to the basket and get fouled while shooting layups. He made his free throw shots.

Bethlem called a timeout with 10:01 left in the first half. The score was Humboldt 16 and Bethlehem Academy 9.

Bethlehem went on a run after the timeout. They were able to chip into the deficit.

The score was tied at 18 with under 7:00 left in the half. Both teams took their time on the offensive end.

Raheem Thompson for Humboldt was able to get some steals and convert them into baskets. He drove hard to the basket. If Thompson was not open for a shot he would pass it to one of his teammates and get an assist.

Humboldt went to a full court press and looked to create havoc for Bethlehem. Humboldt looked to get as many easy baskets as they could.

At halftime the score was Bethlehem 32 and Humboldt 28.

Humboldt started out on fire. They were able to tie the game at 32 with 16:59 remaining. Neither team gave up easy baskets.

Both teams traded baskets. Humboldt did a good job of penetrating the games in the Bethlehem's defense.

Humboldt called a timeout with 13:42 left in regulation. The score was Bethlehem 43 and Humboldt 37.

Bethlehem continued to push the ball down the court. Humboldt didn’t want to rush their shots. They looked to take as much time off the clock as they could.

Humboldt trapped Bethlehem full court because they thought that could get easy steals and convert that into points.

Bethlehem called a timeout with 8:49 left in regulation. The score was Bethlehem 45 and Humboldt 44.

Humboldt used a three quarter court trapping press late in the contest. They were able to create steals and then converted them on offense.

Adam Clark for Bethlehem tied the game at 50 on a three-point shot with 3:00 left in regulation.

Both teams scored at a frantic pace in the last 2:00 of the game. Both teams never gave up.

The game was tied with a minute left in regulation.

Tyreese Jiles hit two free throws that gave Humboldt the lead.

Humboldt came away with the 61-56 victory over Bethlehem Academy. 
 

ST. PAUL HARDING TOOK ON MINNEHAHA ACADEMY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

St. Paul Harding took to the court against Minnehaha Academy. Harding had a record of 2-5. Minnehaha Academy had a record of 4-1 coming into the game.

Harding pushed the ball down in the court in transition. Minnehaha used a half-court zone press. They were able to put a little bit of pressure on Harding and looked to create turnovers.

Harding swung the ball around the three-point line. They looked to take time off of the clock. That also made Minnehaha come out of their zone and go to a man-to-man defense.

Viseth Koumarn for Harding was all over the court. He was not afraid to shoot the ball from anywhere on the court. If he was not open Koumarn passed the ball to his teammates.

Neither team went on a run early in the first half. It took awhile for each of these to get into the flow of the game and feel each other out.

Gerald McCarver for Minnehaha Academy did a good job of bringing the ball down the court. He was able to blow by his defenders and take the ball hard to the basket.

Minnehaha did a good job of making Harding take long shots. Minnehaha stayed in the zone for most of the first half.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 6:47 left in the first half. The score was Harding 24 and Minnehaha 13.

Kaharri Carter for Minnehaha was able to take the ball hard to the basket and get easy layups.

Harding's guard David McClain dribbled the ball around out side of the three-point line and just dribbled the ball to take time off of the clock. That forced the Minnehaha defenders to get out and apply pressure.

Harding slowed the game down late in the half. They took their time on the offensive end as they wanted to not take quick shots and waste as much time off the clock as they could.

At halftime the score was Harding 29 and Minnehaha 22.

The second half got off to a bang as both teams traded baskets. Carter lead the fast break and found the basket early in the half.

Earnaell Barner was all over the court for Harding. He was able to make his shots that he put up. Barner was also not afraid to pass up shots that he didn't think that he was not going to make.

At the start of the second half Harding was able to score on quick baskets. Minneahaha was not able to slow down Harding on the defensive end.

Harding stayed in the zone defense. That seemed to work in the first half.
Simmons got his shot going and was able to drop a few three-point shots that kept his team in the game.

Minnehaha was able to get their shots to drop midway through the second half.

Harding called a timeout with 12:40 left in regulation. The score was Harding 39 and Minnehaha 38.

The game was close and competitive the whole game. Both teams used a lot of energy and they each tried to outsmart the other.

Harding went to a full court press. They wanted to bother the Minnehaha guards and make it hard for them to get the ball down the court.

Minnehaha called a timeout with 9:07 left in regulation. The score was Harding 47 and Minnehaha 39.

Minnehaha was able to get into the heads of the Harding players as there was a major energy shift with 7:00 left. Harding missed some shots and Minnehaha was able to get their hands on the rebounds but were not able to come down with it.

Harding wanted to get the flow back as they walked the ball down the court and started their offense at half-court.

St. Paul Harding came away with the 63-55 victory over Minnehaha Academy. The leading scorer for Minnehaha Academy was Kaharri Carter with 15 points. St. Paul Harding was lead in scoring by Earnaell Barner with 23 points.

SIMLEY TOOK ON FAIR ACADEMY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Simley took on FAIR Academy in a boys' basketball contest. Coming into the game Simley had a record of 3-3 and FAIR had a record of 5-1.

Simley swung the ball around the three-point line to look for their shots and take time off the clock.

FAIR called a timeout with 13:57 left in the first half. The score was Simley 9 and FAIR 0.

After that timeout FAIR went on a run and tied the game at 12:50 in the first half.

FAIR attempted to work the ball around the three-point line and looked to get the ball inside.

FAIR got the ball into the hands of Andre Burton. Burton was all over the floor. He knew where his teammates were and was able to get them involved in the offense.

FAIR'S defense bothered Simley. Simley had a hard time getting the ball down the court. FAIR was able to get some steals and was able to convert on offense.

John Warren was able to step back and knock down some deep three-point shots for his team. Simley was not able to slow him down.

Simley called a timeout with 6:49 left in the first half. The score was FAIR 22 and Simley 17.

FAIR was able to get their shots to fall late in the first half.

Warren continued to take and make three-point shots late in the half.

Simley didn't back down. They kept on attacking the basket late in the half and were able to get some shots to fall.

At halftime the score was FAIR 42 and Simley 28.

FAIR started the second half out as they came out and hit most of the shots that they put up.

Simley was not able to slow down the FAIR offense.

FAIR called a timeout with 14:04 left in regulation. The score was FAIR 51 and Simley 39.

Aaron Gartner for Simley was able to knock down his shots. On the defensive end he was able to slow down his opponent.

Simley went on a run midway through the second half. FAIR was able to hold their ground and didn't get frustrated.

Simley called a timeout with 9:08 left in regulation. The score was FAIR 58 and Simley 51.

Dillon Kaup for Simley was all over the boards. He was able to grab rebounds on both ends of the floor.

Simley battled back and was able to keep the game close late in the contest.

Simley called a time out with 2:39 left in regulation. The score was Fair 66 and Simley 59. Going into the huddle Desmond Williams shoved a Simley player and was ejected from the game.

Simley went on a run after the timeout. The pace of the game was very frantic. Neither team was able to get their hands on the ball as both teams fumbled it.

FAIR was able to come away with the 80-66 victory over Simley. The leading scorer for Simley was Aaron Gartner with 21 points. The leading scorer for FAIR was Darrion Scott with 30 points.

NO STATE BOYS' STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT BANQUET THIS YEAR

The Minnesota Boys' Basketball Coaches Association has canceled their annual State Tournament Boys' Basketball Banquet this year according to Executive Director Tom Critchley.

THE EAGAN WILDCATS TAME THE MINNEAPOLIS SOUTH TIGERS IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Eagan took on Minneapolis South in a boys' high school basketball game. Eagan came into the game with a record of 3-3. South came into the game with a record of 2-5.

Both teams looked to set the tempo early in the contest. They each started in zone defense.

It took a while for each team to get into their scoring routine.

For South Mahari Wilson brought the ball down the court. He knew where his teammates were on the court and was able to get his teammates involved in the offense.

Thomas Edison Ford came up with a few steals and was able to get the ball out to Carnell Sheppard. Sheppard took the ball hard to the basket and was able to hit his shots.

Neither team went on a run in the early goings. Both teams went after rebounds on both ends of the court.

Eagan did a good job of not letting South get the ball into the paint. They were packing the middle of the zone it made it difficult for the South guards to make layups in the paint.

There were many ties and lead changes throughout the first half.

Eagan called a timeout with 7:46 left in the first half. The score was South 25 and Eagan 20.

Isaiah Wilson took the ball hard to the basket for South. He was able to hit his shots.

South was able to control the tempo. Eagan was not able to go on a run.

At halftime the score was Eagan 45 and South 41.

The score continued to go back and forth throughout the second half.

South went to a pressing defense. They looked to and were able to get steals. South was able to score baskets after they stole the ball.

Both teams matched up well.

South called a timeout with 12:21 left in the game. The score was 55-53 with Eagan on top.

South was able to work the ball around the three-point line and take time off the clock. Wilson knocked down a three-point shot with a guy in his face.

Davide Ghersevich for South also was able to hit a long deep three-point shot to keep his team in the game.

Neither team was able to go on a run in the second half. The score remained fairly close the entire game.

Eagan came away with the 76-74 victory in a hard fought game over Minneapolis South. The leading scorer for Eagan was Nick Sabatke with 23 points. The leading scorers for South were Isaiah Wilson with 23 points and Carnell Sheppard with 21 points.

CHANHASSEN TOOK ON ST. THOMAS ACADEMY IN A BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME

Chanhassen traveled to St. Thomas Academy for a boys' high school basketball game. Chanhassen came into the game with a record of 4-2. St. Thomas Academy came into the game with a record of 2-2.

On the first play of the game Kevin Jensen for Chanhassen started the game off with a two handed slam dunk. That got his team fired up.

Chanhassen started the game in a zone defense. They wanted to force St. Thomas to shoot from the three-point line.

Chanhassen was not afraid to shoot the ball. Cole Auto for Chanhassen was able to step back behind the three-point line and was able to knock down a deep three-point shot.

The score went back and forth at the start of the game. Neither team went on a run in the early goings.

Auto continued to shoot the ball well. St. Thomas was not able to slow him down.

St. Thomas's Nick Waldvogel took the ball down the court with ease. He was able to direct his team on the court.

Chanhassen was able to get the ball out of the net and they tried to push the tempo. They didn't waste much time as they took quick shots.

The score was close throughout the first half.

Joey Stark for Chanhassen also was able to come up with a deep three-point shot. He took his time on the offensive end and called for the ball when he was open.

Jensen continued to use his size to his advantage on the low block. He is listed as 6'5” and was posted up on the low block. When his teammates got him the ball on the block he would just take it hard to the basket and was able to take easy shots.

Thomas Sjoberg was also able to knock down some deep three-point shots. He was not afraid to shoot the ball from anywhere on the court.

No one could slow Sjoberg down. Chanhassen had no one who could guard him. He was just too quick of a player.

Chanhassen called a timeout with 2:02 left in the first half. The score was St. Thomas 31 and Chanhassen 29.

Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls late in the game.

The score at halftime was Chanhassen 32 and St. Thomas 31.

Chanhassen started the second half in zone defense. St. Thomas switched up between man-to-man and zone defense.

There were many ties and lead changes throughout the game.

Waldvogel took his time of the offensive end. St. Thomas wanted to take as much time off the clock as they could.

Chanhassen had a hard time getting to the basket. The St. Thomas defenders made it hard for them to get to the basket.

St. Thomas picked up their defensive pressure at half court. Chanhassen also picked up their defensive pressure at half court. Both teams started the game and half using full court pressure.

St. Thomas called a timeout with 12:03 left in regulation the score was Chanhassen 48 and St. Thomas 39.

St. Thomas didn't back down. They kept on playing hard. Even though their shots were not falling for a period of time in the second half they didn't give up.

Waldvogel was able to knock down some three-point shots and keep his team in the game.

Chanhassen continued to take the ball hard to the basket.

Chanhassen called a timeout with 6:25 left in regulation. The score was Chanhassen 59 and St. Thomas Academy 47.

Paddy Clancy for St. Thomas picked up his man full court the rest of his team picked up their guys at midcourt. Clancy was looking to get a few steals before the ball crossed the half court line.

Chanhassen passed the ball around the three-point line. They wanted to take as much time off the clock as they could.

Chanhassen came away with the 77-58 victory over St. Thomas Academy.

I thought that both teams played well throughout the game. I thought that Kevin Jensen played well for Chanhassen. The St. Thomas defenders were not able to slow Jensen down. Jensen gave his team energy and I think that his teammates fed off of that when he was out on the court.

I thought that Thomas Sjoeberg played well for St. Thomas Academy.

The leading scorer for St. Thomas Academy was Thomas Sjoberg with 36 points.

The leading scorers for Chanhassen were Kevin Jansen with 31 points, and Cole Auto with 16 points.


FAIR SCHOOL TOOK ON PRAIRIE SEEDS ACADEMY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

FAIR School traveled to Prairie Seeds Academy (PSA) for a boys' basketball game. FAIR came into the game with a record of 5-0. Prairie Seeds Academy came into the game with a record of 6-0.

PSA started the game in a zone defense. They looked to spread FAIR out. PSA attacked the zone.

FAIR got the ball out of the basket and looked for easy baskets in transition.

The score went back and forth in the beginning of the game. Neither team went on a run.

PSA called a timeout with 14:51 left in the first half. The score was FAIR 8 and PSA 4.

FAIR went on a run after the timeout. PSA was not able to hit any of their shots. FAIR looked to get the ball into the hands of their guard Andre Burton. Burton was able to dribble past his defenders and get easy baskets.

FAIR passed the ball around the three-point line to use time off the clock. They also looked for the shots.

PSA got the ball into the hands of Trent Pollard. Pollard ran the PSA offense. He was not afraid to shoot the ball. If he was not open he would pass it to his teammates.

The score with 9:16 left in the first half was PSA 18 and FAIR 14.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team gave up easy baskets.

PSA stayed in their zone defense. FAIR did a good job of getting through the zone.

PSA was not afraid to shoot the three-point shot.

FAIR did a good job of getting the ball out of the net and scoring baskets on the other end. Burton did a good job of running the offense.

At halftime the score was PSA 39 and FAIR 37.

PSA started the second half in a zone defense. FAIR also started the second half in a zone defense.

Troy Lamont May Jr came into the game for PSA. He looked to run the offense. May was not afraid to shoot the ball from wherever he was on the court.

Pollard continued to knock down three-point shots. No one could slow him down on the offensive end.

FAIR called a timeout with 10:37 left in regulation. The score was FAIR 61 and PSA 59.

The score went back and forth for a period midway through the second half. Both teams traded baskets.

Darion Schington for FAIR ran the offense when he was in the game. Schington was all over the court. He was able to get his team involved in the offense.

PSA called a timeout with 7:45 left in regulation. The score was FAIR 72 and PSA 69.

May was not afraid to shoot the three-point shot. He also took it hard to the basket for layups.

Gage Deis for PSA took the basketball hard to the basket through a lot of defenders and was able to make shots.

The game came down to the wire. Both teams made baskets at a frantic pace.

PSA turned the ball over late in the game. FAIR had a hard time scoring baskets on the turnovers.

Akil England of FAIR was fouled with 0.8 seconds left to go and he hit one of two free-throws. There was a lane violation and England shot one more free-throw and it was not good.

PSA came away with the 84-83 victory over FAIR.

I though that both teams played with a lot of heart and swagger. Neither team gave up and they left everything on the floor.

The leading scorers for FAIR were Desmond Williams with 31 points, Darrion Scott with 19 points, Akil England with 13 points and Darion Schington with 13 points.

The leading scorers for PSA were Trent Pollard with 31 points, Devin Buckley with 21 points and Troy Lamont May Jr with 14 points.

EastView vs Springlake Park

Two Undefeated Spring Lake Park Programs Match Up for there 5 game. With both teams coming in at 4-0 promises too be a good game.. East View having size starting 3 players 6’6 or more .

Joey King for east view Scoring 10 points before the panthers get on the board. East View jumps to a fast start 20-4 with 11:30 in the fist half.. east view going up big 33-11 with 3 3 pointers and 20 by Joey King .. Late in the first half SLP makes a 6-0 Run led by Bryce Williams too make the score 18-33..

East View Takes a lead at the half 41-25 led by Joey King with 20 at half..

Spring Lake Park starts the second half in a 1-3-1 defense. East view starts the second half of the game the same way the started the first by feeding Joey King.. Spring Lake keeps the fight up with 3 3 pointers n the first part of the second half to cut the lead down 60-50 East View.

With 5:12 left East View Up 70-56 the fouls are adding up for Spring Lake Park going into the bonus.

More Joey King more free throws as East View pushes the lead to 20 with 2:50 left..

East View Wins in a blow out score of 86-63..

EASTVIEW TOOK ON SPRING LAKE PARK IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Eastview traveled to Spring Lake Park High School for a boys' basketball game. Both teams came into the game with a record of 4-0.

Both teams started the game in a zone defense.

Eastview's Joey King took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to get uncontested baskets.

Eastview called a timeout with 16:46 left in the first half. The score was Eastview 4 and Spring Lake Park 0.

Eastview's Darin Haugh also found the basket early in the contest. He was able to push the ball down the court and pass it to his teammates when they were open.

Eastview was able to get a few good steals and convert them into points on the fast break.

It took awhile for Spring Lake Park to find their shots. They were not able hit shots that they were putting up.

Chris Narum found the basket on easy three-point shots. He was not afraid to shoot the ball from anywhere on the court.

Spring Lake Park called a timeout with 11:47 left in the first half. The score was Eastview 20 and Spring Lake Park 4.

Bryce Williams for Spring Lake Park stepped up and was able to knock down a key basket for his team.

Sean Scott for Spring Lake Park stepped up and was able to knock down shots with ease.

Eastview used both man-to-man and zone defense. Both teams looked to get the ball out of the basket and get easy baskets in transition.

Gary Cook for Spring Lake Park was able to step back behind the three-point line and was able to drain his shot.

At halftime was Eastview 41 and Spring Lake Park 25.

Spring Lake Park started the second half out in a 1-3-1 zone defense. They wanted to slow down the Eastview attack.

Eastview called a timeout with 12:20 left in regulation. The score was Eastview 54 and Spring Lake Park 37.

Spring Lake Park's TC Robinson was able to string some points together to keep his team in the game. Bryce Williams for Spring Lake Park continued to drop three-point shots.

Both teams went into the bonus with 5:12 left in regulation

Sean Scott got a technical foul with 4:22 left in regulation. For arguing a call.

Eastview was too much for Spring Lake Park. Eastview came away with the 86-63 victory over Spring Lake Park. The leading scorers for Eastview were Joey King with 36 points, Chris Narum with 14 points, Ben Oberfeld 13 points and Darvin Haugh with 12 points.

The leading scorers for Spring Lake Park were Bryce Williams with 27 points and Gary Cook with 11 points.

SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL TOOK ON MINNESOTA TRANSITIONS CHARTER SCHOOL IN A BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME

Springfield High School took on Minnesota Transitions High School (MTS) in a boys' basketball game. Springfield came into the game with a record of 2-3 and MTS came into the game with a record of 1-5.

Springfield won the tip. Transitions’ Willie Parrish started the game off with a steal and came away with a layup for the first points of the game.

Transitions started the game out on fire. They went on a run to start the game. Springfield had a very difficult time making their shots at the start.

Springfield did a good job of getting the ball out of the net and getting it down the other end of the court in transition.

Transitions called a timeout with 13:38 left in the first half. The score was Transitions 13 and Springfield 9.

Transitions switched between man-to-man and zone defense. They were able to confuse Springfield.

Springfield was careless with the ball. They turned the ball over and Transitions was able to get the ball down the court and score layups.

Springfield shot themselves into the game. They were able to go on a run after Transitions called a timeout.

Springfield took their time on the offensive end. They passed the ball around the three-point line and looked for the open shots. Everyone got their hands on the ball on the offensive end.

Springfield called a timeout with 3:07 left in the first half. The score was Transitions 23 and Springfield 21.

Tyree Schultz for Transitions took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to get open looks at the basket and make shots that he was putting up.

Springfield made another run late in the half.

At halftime the score was Springfield 29 and Transitions 28.

Transitions started the second half in a zone defense. The wanted to spread the Springfield offense out.

Tevin Sims came up with some nice defensive rebounds for Transitions. He played mostly on the low block.

Springfield kept on attacking the basket. Transitions had a hard time hitting shots.

Transitions called a timeout with 13:59 left in regulation. The score was Springfield 38 and Transitions 30.
Springfield was able to get open fast break layups. Transitions was not able to control the tempo the way that they wanted.

Transitions called a timeout with 11:23 left in regulation. The score was Springfield 45 and Transitions 37.

Both teams traded baskets midway though the second half. Transitions looked to use their speed to get around the Springfield defenders.

Springfield went to a zone defense with just under 10:00 left in regulation. Even though they had shown zone defense earlier in the game they stayed in the zone for a good portion of the second half.

Transitions went on a run with 9:00 left in regulation. They were able to slow down the Springfield offense.

Transitions went to a full court press with just under 4:00 left. They looked for quick steals.

Springfield called a timeout with 2:37 left on the clock. The score was Springfield 67 and Transitions 55.

In a hard fought game Springfield came away with the 76-67 victory over Transitions. I thought that both teams played hard. No one gave up on either team.

The leading scorers for Transitions were David Wallendorf with 19 points, Willie Parris 15 points and Tevin Sims with 12 points. The leading scores for Springfield were Alex Fink with 24 points, Isaac Kirsehstein with 21 points and Cole Milbrath with 9 points.

Their was a great performance by the MTS drum line. The drummers played throughout the first half and kept everyone entertained.
