CALTECH TOOK ON MACALESTER IN A MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME

Caltech took on Macalester in a men's basketball game. Caltech came into the game with a record of 3-2. Macalester came into the game with a record of 0-7.

The game got off to a quick start as each team was able hit shots that they were making.

Both teams looked to get the ball out of the net and push the ball down the court.

Macalester called a timeout with 14:32 left in the first half. The score was Caltech 11, Macalester 7.

The score went back and forth throughout the beginning of the game. Neither team was able to go on a run.

Caltech was able to get the ball into the hands of Todd Cramer. Cramer found his shot early and was able to knock down some key shots early in the contest.

Both teams fought over rebounds on both ends of the court.

Pan Wang came up and was able to knock down some shots for Caltech.

Caltech switched between man-to-man and zone defense.

Justin Wasik for Macalester stepped back behind the three-point line and was able to knock down some deep three-point shots.

Macalester called a timeout with 4:48 left in the first half. The score was Caltech 33 and Macalester 28.

Lamont Diggs for Macalester got his team into the offensive swing. He knew where his teammates were supposed to be on the floor. Diggs did a good job of letting his teammates know where he was supposed to be on the floor.

Neither team went on a run in the first half.

Cramer did a good job of distributing the basketball. He was able to get assists on plays he knew that his teammates would be able to hit their shots.

At halftime the score was Caltech 39 and Macalester 38.

Caltech started the second half in a zone defense. They looked to spread Macalester out on the offensive end.

Macalester had trouble shooting the ball to start the second half off. They didn't get down on themselves. They just kept on shooting the ball.

Macalester called a timeout with 12:57 left in regulation. The score was Caltech 52 and Macalester 49.

Macalester didn't back down. They kept on shooting and they never gave up.

Cramer continued to shoot the ball well in the second half. No one could seem to slow him down.

Macalester called a timeout with 3:59 left in regulation the score was Caltech 64 and Macalester 59.

The game was close throughout. I thought that they were both evenly matched teams.

Caltech called a timeout with 3:10 left in regulation. The score was Caltech 64 and Macalester 61.

Macalester looked to try to get as many quick shots off as they could late in the contest.

In a game that was close throughout Caltech came away with the 71-65 victory over Macalester.

The leading scorers for Caltech were Michael Edwards with 22 points, Todd Cramer 19 points, and Pan Wang with 12 points. They shot 26-56 from the field that included going 9-25 from behind the three-point line. They were 10-18 from the free throw line. They grabbed a total of 25 rebounds, 17 of them on the defensive end.

The leading scorers for Macalester were Pierce Peters with 28 points, Justin Wasik 15 points, and Sam Marshall with 11 points. They shot 23-48 from the field that included going 9-17 from behind the three-point line. They were 10-15 from the free throw line. They grabbed a total of 37 rebounds, 27 of them on the defensive end.
