GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS TOOK ON HAMLINE IN A MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME

Gustavus Adolphus took on Hamline in a men's basketball game. Gustavus came into the game with a record of 1-1. Hamline came into the game with a record of 1-2.

Gustavus won the tip and they looked to take their time on the offensive end of the court. They looked to use as much time as they could off the shot clock. They looked to get the ball into the hands of Tysean (Ty) Curtis Moore.

It took both of these teams awhile to get into the grove of the game. Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls and went hard on the glass for rebounds.

Gustavus called a timeout with 15:38 left in the first half.

Hamline went on a run and Gustavus was not able to find the basket for a period of time in the first half.

Gustavus went to a zone defense and that gave Hamline a lot of room to work their offense. Hamline
kept on looking for the basket and they were able to take it strong to the basket.

Adam Michel from Gustavus Adolphus made some nice shots in the lane. On the defensive end he was all over his man.

Dior Ford for Hamline took the ball hard to the basket. He was able to blow by his defenders and get to the basket easily.

Gustavus made a run midway through the first half.

Both teams launched three-point shots with about 8:00 left.

The score went back and forth late in the half. Neither team went on a run late in the half.

Ty Moore looked to drive to the basket and he was to find his shot. He was not afraid to shoot the ball from anywhere on the court.

Gustavus called a timeout with 2:53 left to go in the first half. The score was Gustavus 34 and Hamline 30.

Both teams continued to shoot the ball late in the first half.

At halftime the score was Hamline 38 and Gustavus Adolphus 37.

Gustavus Adolphus started the second half in a zone defense. They continued to pressure the shooters from Hamline.

Tysean (Ty) Curtis Moore continued to shoot the ball. He didn't rush his shots.

Gustavus came up with some steals early in the second half. They were able to score on the offensive end after they stole the ball.
Hamline continued to push the ball down the court and set the tempo.

The score went back and forth throughout a major portion of the second half. The defensive pressure each of these teams played was very tight.

Al Tillman for Hamline posted up his defenders on the low block. He was able to contest their shots.

Gustavus Adolphus called a timeout with 10:38 left in regulation. The score was Gustavus Adolphus 53 and Hamline 45.

Gustavus Adolphus kept the pressure on Hamline throughout the second half. Hamline got to within five points with 7:30 left.

The pace was frantic as each team scoring at a rapid pace.

Gustavus Adolphus called a timeout with 6:35 left in regulation. The score was Gustavus Adolphus 55 and Hamline 53.

Gustavus Adolphus stayed in a zone defense. Hamline had trouble hitting their shots down the stretch.

Brandon Rieg for Hamline shot the ball well though out the game. He was able to get his shot.

Gustavus Adolphus called a 30 second timeout with 3:13 left in regulation. The score was Gustavus Adolphus 59 and Hamline 53.

Hamline continued to take shots down the stretch. They didn't give up and played hard throughout.

Hamline took quick shots late in the game but that was not enough.

Gustavus Adolphus came away with the 73-60 victory over Hamline. The leading scorers for Gustaus Adolphus were Seth Anderson with 23 points, Ben Biewen with 12 points and Michel Adam with11 points. They shot 25-54 from the field that included going 6-17 from behind the three-point line. They shot 17-29 from the free throw line.

The leading scorers for Hamline were Al Tillman and Brandon Rieg each with 11. Hamline shot 24-57 from the field that included going 6-23 from behind the three-point line. They shot 6-15 from the free throw line.
