Kyle James Hughes was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has five sisters. Hughes is a senior this year at Minneapolis Washburn High School where he will graduate in June.
Hughes has played football and basketball. He feels that football is like church. It is his own sanctuary.
He worked on his football skills this passed summer with Bill Welle at Velocity Performance Training Center where he worked on speed, agility, and getting bigger and stronger.

Hughes also went to a few football camps such as University Nebraska, Michigan University, Sound Mine Sound Body Camp, and Iowa State University to work on his game.
In his free time he likes to hang around with other football players that he is a good friend with on the weekend. His favorite movie is Friday, His favorite television show is Family Guy and his favorite song Mega Mann by Lil Wayne.
