Warrroad took on Caledonia in the Class AA Minnesota State High School League state football semifinal game.
Caledonia kicked off to Warroad to start the game. On the first play from scrimmage Caledonia's Houston Halverson intercepted a pass. Caledonia got the ball back on the Warroad 24 yard line.
Caledonia's Kennan Bruening found Travis Frank for a 12-yard touchdown pass. The extra point attempt was good.
With 9:34 left in the first quarter the score was Caledonia 7 and Warroad 0.
Caledonia kicked off to Warroad after the touchdown. Caledonia got the ball back and they threatened to score again. Austin Goerge nailed a 20 yard field goal. With 5:51 left in the first quarter the score was Caledonia 10 and Warroad 0.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Caledonia 10 and Warroad 0.
Caledonia found the end zone again. Kennan Bruening’s 28 yard pass was complete to Houston Halverson for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was not good.
With 11:16 left in the second quarter the score was Caledonia 16 and Warroad 0.
Warroad got the ball back after the touchdown. Warroad looked to the air to get their receivers a chance to catch balls.
Caledonia got the ball back and they were able to get a 9 yard touchdown run by Kennan Bruening.
The extra point attempt was good.
With 6:55 left in the second quarter the score was Caledonia 23 and Warroad 0.
Caledonia was intercepted and Warroad got the ball back.
At halftime the score was Caledonia 23 and Warroad 0.
Caledonia kicked off to Warroad to start the third quarter. Caledonia mostly used a running attack. They also, however, looked to get the ball into the air in the passing game. Caledonia punted the ball on fourth down.
Warroad got the ball on their own 29 yard line. They were not able to get a first down and turned it back over to Caledoina.
Caledonia's Connor McCormick dashed 36 yards for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was good.
With 7:39 left in the third quarter the score was Caledonia 30 and Warroad 0.
Caladoina's Connor McCormick came up with a nice running play. That gave his team a first down.
Caledonia had a 30-0 lead after three quarters of play.
Warroad got the ball to start the fourth quarter. Warroad was not able to get a first down and had to punt it back to Caledonia.
Caledonia found the end zone on a Connor McCormick one yard run. The extra point attempt was good.
With 5:25 left in the fourth quarter the score was Caledonia 37 and Warroad 0.
Caledonia came out quickly and was all over Warroad.
Caledonia was able to come away with the 37-0 victory over Warroad. After the game I was able to talk to Caledonia's head Coach Brent Schroder, and players Connor McCormick and Kennan Brueing about the game.
Connor McCormick said, “The game started slow and we have to pick it up next week. We wanted to get to this point our whole lives. Next week we have to have to stay humble and hungry.”
Kennan Brueing said, “It's a blast playing at the dome. We really got it done on the ground and through the air. Our team is really rolling right now. It’s been a great season so far and we want one more and are going to watch a bunch of tape this week.”
Head coach Brent Schroder said that he was proud of his boys. “They responded well in the third and fourth quarter. Connor McCormick is a blast to watch and is a great kid. Moose Lake is a fast team. And we’ve got to be ready.”
