On Feb. 10, Minneapolis Roosevelt and Minneapolis North went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game. Going into the game Roosevelt had a record of 1-19 while North’s record was 13-5.
North looked to push the ball down the floor and looked to make mid-range jump shots and layups.
Roosevelt struggled to shoot the ball throughout the first half. Roosevelt started the game in a zone.
North pushed the ball down the floor and was able to get layups in transition They were able to get past the Roosevelt defense.
Roosevelt struggled shooting the ball throughout the game. Roosevelt turned the ball over multiple times in the first half.
Roosevelt called a timeout with 12:42 left in the first half. The score was North 20, Roosevelt 20.
North’s Mario Sanders II came up with steals and mid-range jump shots and layups. His teammates were able to get him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
North moved the ball down the floor well in the first half. They were able to turn Roosevelt over and come up with layups on the offensive end.
Roosevelt’s Musfata Salad came up with layups and free throws in the first half. His team struggled shooting the ball throughout the first half.
North wasn’t afraid to take the ball strong to the basket.
Even though Roosevelt struggled shooting the ball throughout the first half. They kept on attacking the basket throughout the first half.
North’s De’Mekio Anderson came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. His teammates were able to get him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Roosevelt’s Nelson Ladd came up with mid-range jump shots and layups late in the first half. His teammates got him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
North called a timeout with 1:44 left in the first half. The score was North 48, Roosevelt 24.
North’s De’Meiko Anderson came up with mid-range jump shots and deep 3-point shots late in the first half.
At halftime, the score was North 58, Roosevelt 30.
As the second half got underway North continued to come up with layups in the second half.
Roosevelt came out quickly as they looked to come up with layups and mid-range jump shots.
North’s Butler came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. His teammates were able to get him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Roosevelt looked to come up with layups in the second half. They struggled shooting the ball throughout the second half. Even though they struggled shooting the ball they kept on shooting the ball.
With 12:37 left in regulation. The score was North 70, Roosevelt 43.
North continued to push the ball down the floor and continued to come up with layups and jump shots in transitions.
Anderson kept on coming up with jump shots and layups in the second half. Teammate’s Willie Wilson and Townley both came up with shots in the second half.
Roosevelt struggled shooting the ball throughout the game. Even though they struggled they kept on shooting the ball.
Both teams played well. Roosevelt struggled shooting the ball throughout the game but played well. North was all over the floor. North came away with the 88-56 victory over Roosevelt.
The leading scorers for Roosevelt were Salad with 19 points, and Holte with 15 points.
The leading scorers for North were Townley with 25 points, Wilson with 20 points, Anderson with 19 points.
