Apple Valley and Minnetonka played each other in the Minnetonka fall league. The game got off to a quick start as each team raced up and down the floor.
Apple Valley looked to get the ball into the hands of guard Tyus Jones. Jones was all over the floor.
Jones got everyone involved in the offense. He knew where guys were supposed to be on the floor.
Apple Valley strung some quick baskets together. They built a 13-7 lead with 13:31 left in the first half. That’s when Minnetonka called its first timeout.
Minnetonka had a hard time of getting to the baskets and hitting their shots.
Trey Jones took the ball hard to the basket and was able to make some good passes and hit some big shots.
At halftime the score was Apple Valley 36, Minnetonka 21.
As the second half got underway both teams continued to attack the basket.
Apple Valley continued to move the ball well down the floor.
Minnetonka continued to have trouble shooting the ball.
Apple Valley came away with the 70-38 victory over Minnetonka.
