NORTH ST. PAUL TOOK ON PRIOR LAKE IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

North St. Paul and Prior Lake went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game at the Minnetonka Fall League.
 
North St. Paul came out on fire as they took a 7-2 lead with just under 15 minutes left in the first half. Prior Lake however got their shots to drop.
 
The score went back and forth midway through the first half. Both teams looked to get open shots.
 
The defense made it difficult for each team to hit wide open shots.
 
Neither team went on a run in the first half.  
 
North St. Paul used mostly a zone defense throughout the first half. They wanted to force Prior Lake to take long shots.  
 
At halftime the score was Prior Lake 26, North St. Paul 16.
 
Prior Lake continued to attack the basket and was able to shoot lay-ups. North St. Paul had a difficult time slowing down Prior Lake on defense.
 
North St. Paul came to life in the second half. They strung some baskets together as they looked to attack the Prior Lake defense.
 
The pace of the game picked up midway through the second half. Both teams rushed shots in the second half.
 
Prior Lake came away with the 56-47 victory over North St. Paul.
