CRETIN DERHAM HALL AND OSSEO SQUARED OFF IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

In the final game of the day at the Minnetonka fall boys’ basketball league, Cretin Derham Hall took on Osseo. The game got off to a quick start as each team was able to hit quality jump shots and layups.
 
The Osseo defense made it difficult for Cretin to hit open shots. Cretin did a good job of slowing Osseo down in transition.
 
Cretin had a good transition game as they made easy layups.
 
Osseo had difficulty getting into an offensive rhythm. They didn’t have any flow in their offense at times.
 
At halftime the score was Cretin 40, Osseo 23.  
 
As the second half got underway, Osseo kept on looking to attack the basket.
 
Cretin looked to be a little quicker than Osseo on both ends of the floor.
 
Cretin was able to nail both their inside and outside shots with ease throughout the contest.
 
Osseo fought back, and the score went back and forth late in the contest.
 
The score was tied at 77 after regulation.
 
In the overtime period the score went back and forth. Neither team went on a run.  
 
In a hard fought game Osseo came away with the 83-81, come-from-behind overtime victory over Cretin.
