Hopkins and Wayzata went up against each other in the second game of the Minnetonka Fall League.
Hopkins looked strong from the gate, as they were able to build an early 10-0 lead with 14 minutes left in the first half.
Wayzata did get some good looks at the basket but they were not able to hit shots.
Hopkins went to a full court press midway through the first half.
Even though Wayzata couldn’t make their shots in the first half. They were not afraid to shoot the ball.
Everyone for Hopkins touched the ball. They did a good job of swinging the ball around the three-point line.
At halftime the score was Hopkins 31, Wayzata 10.
As the second half got underway Hopkins continued to attack the basket.
Hopkins was too quick for Wayzata throughout. Wayzata played hard throughout. They worked on set plays in their offense.
Hopkins looked like they were a step quicker than Wayzata. Hopkins was able to blow by Wayzata on offense and get lay-ups.
Hopkins took an early lead and they never looked back. In a game that started out quick Hopkins came away with the 50-24 victory over Wayzata.
