HENRY SIBLEY WENT UP AGAINST ANDOVER IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Henry Sibley and Andover squared off in a boys’ basketball game on Dec. 31 at Augsburg College.

Both teams pushed the ball down the floor and looked to score layups.

Andover’s Blake Hartmann came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. The Henry Sibley defense had a hard time slowing him down.

Henry Sibley’s Nile Clem was all over the floor. On the offensive end Clem was able to attack the basket and make layups and jump-shots.

Henry Sibley called a timeout with 8:27 left in the first half. The score was Andover 27, Henry Sibley 13.

Andover passed the ball around the 3-point line and was able to get everyone involved in the offense.

Andover went to a zone defense. They looked to make Henry Sibley take deep 3-point baskets or force the ball into the low block.

Clem came up with huge mid-range jump shots late in the first half.

Andover continued to find the basket late in the first half. The Henry Sibley defense couldn’t slow them down on offense.

At halftime the score was Andover 43, Henry Sibley 26.

As the second half got underway Henry Sibley stayed in a zone defense. They wanted to slow down the Andover offense.

Andover came out shooting strong to start the second half.

Henry Sibley’s Clem continued to make his mid-range jump shots throughout the second half.

Even though Henry Sibley struggled to shoot the ball they kept attacking the basket and looking for their shots.

Andover was got everyone involved in the offense. Andover’s Jack Koolmo, Alec Lorimer, and Trevor Siebold all came up with good shots in the second half.

The final score was Andover 86, Henry Sibley 55.

Scoring for Andover were, C. Johnson 19, Eliason 14, Swanson 13, Koolmo 7, McNallan 7, Hartmann 7, Siebald 4, Fiegum 2, McCready 2, Emmel 2, Goltz 2, Wiles 2, Terhaar 2, Leisner 1.

Scoring for Henry Sibley were, Clem 16, Baumeister 8, Korte 7, Edwards 7, Garibay 5, Wiley 3, Satar 3, Gilberg 2, Mack 2, Fudenberg 1, Peterson 1.
