Both teams started in zone defenses.
Cretin looked to get the ball into Sam Neumann’s hands. Neumann was able to step up and hit 3-point baskets.
Cretin’s Donell Gresham and Joe Rosga both came up with mid-range jump shots in the first half.
They were able to get past the North Scott defense and get to the basket. Most of their baskets came in the paint.
Cretin called a timeout with 10:27 left in the first half. The score was Cretin 17, North Scott 11.
North Scott did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They were able to swing the ball around the 3-point line to take time off the clock.
North Scott’s Cortez Seales came up with mid-range jump shots in the first half. He kept his team in the game. Also teammate Marlon Stewart came up with huge jump shots.
At halftime the score was North Scott 28, Cretin 25.
North Scott did a good a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball around the 3-point line and did a good job of talking on offense and defense.
North Scott’s Cortez Seales came up with mid-range jump shots throughout the game. Seales did a good job of also getting to the basket for layups.
Cretin continued to get the ball into the hands of Gresham and Rosga. They both did a good job of getting to the basket.
Cretin attacked the basket late in regulation. North Scott came up with layups late in regulations.
They came up with steals late in the game.
Cretin came away with the 74-68 over North Scott.
The leading scorers for North Scott were Seales with 25 points and Stewart with 15 points.
The leading scorers for Cretin were Rosga with 20 points, Neumann with 19 points and Grehsam with 15 points.
