PRIOR LAKE WENT UP AGAINST SIOUX FALLS WASHINGTON

Prior Lake took on Sioux Falls Washington in a boys’ basketball game. Prior Lake got out to a 13-2 lead with 4:03 left in the first quarter. That was when Washington called their first timeout.

Washington moved the ball around the 3-point line and took time off the shot clock.

Prior Lake called a timeout with 1:21 left in the first quarter. The score was Prior Lake 13, Washington 10.

Washington looked to attack the Prior Lake defense.

After one quarter of play the score was Prior Lake 13, Washington 10.

Prior Lake’s Connor Bair and Kevin McKiernan both came up with huge mid-range jump shots in the offense.

Sioux Falls played zone defense. They wanted to force Prior Lake to take deep shots.

Prior Lake called a timeout with 4:30 left in the second quarter. The score was Prior Lake 22, Washington 18.

Washington came up with some huge shots late in the second quarter. Washington’s Deng Gue came up with layups and rebounds on both ends of the floor.

At halftime the score was Prior Lake 30, Washington 24.

As the third quarter got underway the score went back and forth. Washington got the ball into the hands of Geu.

Prior Lake continued to get the ball into the hands of McKiernan. Also Jack Kortes came up with huge baskets late in the third quarter.

After three quarters of play the score was Prior Lake 44, Washington 42.

The score went back and forth throughout the fourth quarter.

Gue came up with a two handed slam dunk.

Prior Lake called a timeout with 5:36 left in the fourth quarter. The score was Washington 48, Prior Lake 46.

Washington came out on all cylinders late in the fourth quarter. Washington continued to get the ball into the hands of Geu, who was able to make layups late in the fourth quarter.

Washington was able to get the ball into the hand of Geu late in the fourth quarter.

The game was close throughout the fourth quarter.

Washington came away with the 59-56 victory over Prior Lake.  

The leading scorers for Prior Lake were McKiernan with 15 points, and Heidecker and Kortes each with 11 points.
