J.M TIME TOOK ON SABES FOUNDATION IN THE JUNE MILLER PRO CITY LEAGUE

In the first game of the evening J.M Time took on the Sabes Foundation at the Salvation Army in St Paul.

Both teams wanted to use the clock to their advantage early in the contest. For Sabes Foundation they were looking to get the ball into the hands of Rodney Williams who was all over the court. Rodney attends the University Of Minnesota. Williams is known for his acrobatic dunking skills. He can really get his team into the game quite quickly. He also plays very good defense.

Marvin Singleton the 6’6’’ forward from JM Time was also able to find the basket early in the contest. JM Time did a good job of getting all of their players involved in the game. They took their time and they really did a job of controlling the tempo of the first quarter.

Both teams went on runs in the first quarter. The scoring leveled off late in the quarter. Both teams calmed their nerves.

At the end of the first quarter the score was JM Time 18 and Sabes Foundation 24.

As the second quarter the pace of the game seemed to quicken. Both teams looked like they were not looking to the shot clock and they were rushing their shots.

Marvin Singleton was able to hit a mid range jump shot from the free throw line consistently. His teammates figured that out and he was able to get the ball in that spot and he was able to make that shot.

Rodney Williams had a few nice slam dunks throughout the first half. Most of his dunks were contested but he did have a few wide open wide drives to the basket.

At the half the score was Sabes Foundation 52 and JM Time 35.

As the third quarter got underway Sabes Foundation continued to shoot the ball well. They were able to go on a run and basically put the game out of reach for JM Time.

The players for JM Time didn’t give up. The team is made of mostly high school players. It is the top 17u team in the Pulley Program.

Rodney Williams also showed he had a long range shot also as he was able to nail a few three point shots throughout the game.

Both teams looked to run a little bit in the third quarter. Neither team backed down. Even though the lead widened for Sabes Foundation JM Time didn’t quit. They gave it everything that they had.

JM Time did go on a run late in the third quarter. They were able to come within 12 points of Sabes Foundation late in the quarter.

At the end of the third quarter the score was Sabes Foundation 73 and JM Time 61.

The intensity seemed to pick up in the fourth quarter. Both teams seemed to play with a lot more urgency and purpose.

JM Time really worked on their plays in the third quarter. They were really deliberate in their moves on the court.
Sabes Foundation was able to cruse away with the 111-72 victory over JM Time.
