In the second game of the day St. Louis Gameface took on Dallas Showtyme. Both of these teams were really aggressive in the first half.
Dallas wanted to control the tempo from the beginning of the game. Dallas Showtyme looked for dribble penetration baskets early on. They were able to get easy drives to the baskets.
Both teams played scrappy in the first half. They were diving on the court for loose balls.
Wesley Davis for Showtime ran their offense. He was able to get his teammates involved in the plays.
Both teams were evenly matched in the first half. Neither team was able to go on a run in the first half. They each played with a lot of intensity.
Both of the coaches had issues with the calls that were being made.
At the half the score was St Louis Gameface 35 and Dallas Showtyme 42.
As the second half got underway both teams continued to push the ball up the court.
BJ Young for St. Louis Gameface propelled their comeback in the second half. On the offensive end he helped direct traffic. Young was also a force on the defensive end.
The score remained close throughout the second half. Dallas Showtyme used a full court press and tried to frustrate St Louis Gameface.
St Louis Gameface tried to stall and chew as much time off the clock as they could. They were successful at doing that.
St Louis Gameface was able to come away with the 79-72 victory over Dallas Showtyme.
