The Utah Pump N Run took on the Indiana Elite 17u teams in the 2010 Pump n Run Best Buy Tournament.
Both teams did a good job of getting into the flow of the game. They were able to find their shots in the early goings.
Indiana Elite walked the ball up the court. They wanted to have a slow tempo to begin the game. The game was close throughout the first half.
Indiana Elite played with intensity on the defensive end. They were all over the court. They were able to get into Utah Pump N Runs face and disturb them.
Both teams played aggressively. Neither team was giving the other easy drives to the basket. Both teams had to work for their shots.
Kevin Ferrell ran the Indiana offense. He knew where he wanted his players to be on the court and kept his team in the game. Kevin Ferrell did a good job of keeping his team composure.
At halftime the score was tied at 29.
As the second half got underway both teams game out with a lot of intensity. Indiana Elite started the second half in a man-to-man defense. They wanted to get Utah Pump N Run off their game.
Utah Pump N Run passed the ball around the three-point arc as they wanted to burn a lot of time off the court midway through the second half.
Utah Pump N Run went into a zone defense in the second half. They were able to fluster the Indiana Elite players.
Indiana Elite’s Cody Zeller was all over the court. He had a couple of nice low post slam dunks. He played very aggressively throughout the game.
The game was tied at 56 with 3:00 left to go in regulation.
The game came down to the end. Both teams really battled for the ball. Indiana Elite applied the full court press the last two minutes of the game. They wanted to rattle the Utah Pump N Run team.
Indiana Elite spread the floor and held the ball until Utah Pump N Run came out and guarded them.
Indiana Elite was able to come away with the 68-63 victory over the Utah Pump N Run.
