Sabes Foundation took on the Information Investors in the playoffs of the June Miller Pro Summer League.
The game got off to a fast start as each team was able to score baskets at a rapid pace. Sabes Foundation was able to get out to a quick 16-8 lead with 6:00 left in the first quarter.
Sabes went on a run midway through the first quarter. Marcus Hill the guard for Sabes Foundation ran the offense. He knew where his players were on the court. He did a good job of getting his teammates involved in the game.
The scoring went back and forth throughout the first quarter.
At the end of the first quarter the score was Sabes Foundation 37 and Information Investors 26.
As the second quarter got underway Sabes Foundation looked aggressive. They didn’t give up.
Rodney Maurice Williams came through with a few nice slam dunks. He is by far one of the best slam dunkers I have and the privilege to watch. He is a nice ball player also. He has improved his game immensely over the summer. Not just on the slam dunking skills but as an all around ball player his game has improved.
Sabes Foundation went on a run midway through the second quarter. There was nothing that Information Investors could do. It was just that they went cold.
At halftime the score was Sabes Foundation 64 and Information Investors 48.
As the third quarter got underway Sabes Foundation took off. They were able to come out of the gates hot.
The game had an up tempo pace throughout the third quarter. Both teams were looking to shoot the ball at the earliest possible time. Neither team was taking their time with the ball. They were shooting the ball at the first chance they could.
The court had a lot of moisture on it. The players were doing their best not to slip on the floor. They would have to take time out to wipe down the floor. This didn’t have much affect in the game but the floor did seem to bother some of the players. They were able to play through it.
At the end of the third quarter the score Sabes Foundation 90 and Information Investors 74.
In the fourth quarter both teams seemed to keep looking for the deep long ball as both teams were shooting the ball from three point land. Most shots would miss.
Sabes Foundation wanted to get out of a fast paced game and slow the tempo down.
In a game that had a lot of ups and downs and a late rally by the Information Investors, Sabes Foundation came away with the 114-100 victory over the Information Investors.
