Eastview and Chaska went up against each other in a girls’ basketball game at Minnetonka as part of the Minnesota Breakdown Tip Off Classic.
The score went back and forth for a good portion of the first half. Neither team went on a run in the opening minutes of the game.
Chaska strung some baskets together midway through the first half. They had trouble making shots that they put up. Even though they had trouble shooting shots they kept on firing them up to the basket.
At halftime the score Eastview 27, Chaska 19.
The second half got off with a bang as both teams continued to push the ball down the floor.
Chaska called a timeout with 14:25 left in the second half. The score was Eastview 33, Chaska 22.
Eastview was able to make shots from everywhere on the floor. Chaska had a hard time making shots in the second half.
Chaska used both man-to-man and zone defense in the second half. They tried to slow down the Eastview offense but they were not successful at doing that.
Chaska wanted to get layups in the second half. They looked to keep it simple on the offensive end.
Chaska was able to make some fast break baskets late in the contest to stay in the game.
The score went back and forth late in the second half.
Eastview came away with the 52-50 victory over Chaska.
