Osseo and Maple Grove squared off in a basketball game. Osseo got out to a quick 12-5 lead with 14:30 left in the first half.
Osseo’s Allan Anderson came up with steals and layups to get his team’s lead. Osseo was able to create the tempo of the game.
Maple Grove couldn’t get into a shooting rhythm in the first half.
Osseo was able to swing the ball around the 3-point line and everyone touched the ball. They were able to get the ball inside.
Maple Grove struggled to hit shots in the first half. The Osseo defense frustrated them on offense.
At halftime the score was Osseo 25, Maple Grove 9.
Osseo continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
Maple Grove came out with fire in the second half. They were able to make steals and create layups off the steals.
Osseo used their quickness to their advantage however as they got to the basket and made layups.
Maple Grove attacked the basket and came up with layups and jump shots in the second half.
Anderson came up with huge 3-point shots late in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Maple Grove came up with some big shots late in the contest. That wasn’t enough as Osseo came away with the 56-39 victory.
