SOUTHWEST TOOK ON ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE IN A FOOTBALL GAME

On Oct. 9 Minneapolis Southwest went up against St. Anthony Village in a football game.  Southwest kicked off to start the game.
 
St. Anthony started on their own 35-yard line. St. Anthony kept the ball on the ground early. St. Anthony looked to get the ball into the hands of Vincent Favorite. St. Anthony’s Nick Knutson also came up with some huge receptions that moved the ball down the field.
 
St. Anthony called a timeout with 7:12 left in the first quarter. The score was tied at 0.
 
Andrew Webster came up with a 12-yard touchdown run. Webster came up with a two-point conversion.
 
With 6:27 left in the first half the score was St. Anthony 8, Southwest 0.
 
Southwest took over on their own 35-yard line. Southwest’s Tywon Nash looked to get the ball down field. Southwest punted on 4th-and-12.
 
St. Anthony did a good job of mixing the running and passing attack against Southwest. St. Anthony turned the ball over on downs.
 
After one quarter of play the score was St. Anthony 8, Southwest 0.
 
The St. Anthony defense was able to get to Southwest quarterback Brennan Hawkins and bring him to the ground. Southwest punted on 4th down.
 
St. Anthony started on their own 21-yard line. They were not able to move the ball down the field on 4th down.
 
Southwest took over near midfield. Southwest turned the ball over on downs. St. Anthony once again turned the ball over over on downs.
 
Southwest’s Levi Joyce came up with some big receptions that moved the ball down the field and picked up first downs. Southwest fumbled the ball and St. Anthony’s Josh Omodt came up with it.
 
Southwest moved the ball down field late in the second quarter.
 
At halftime the score was St. Anthony 8, Southwest 0.
 
St. Anthony kicked off to start the third quarter. Southwest got the ball in the air on their first drive of the third quarter. Southwest’s Cody Vilahong came up a reception that resulted in a first down.
 
Southwest’s Hawkins ran 2 yards for a touchdown. The two-point conversion run by Chris Colland was no good.
 
With 8:53 left in the third quarter the score was St. Anthony 8, Southwest 6.
 
St. Anthony’s Vincent Favorite came up with a 21-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 8:33 left in the third quarter the score was St. Anthony 15, Southwest 6.  
 
Southwest continued to look to get the ball down the field. The St. Anthony defense was able to get to Hawkins and disrupt the offense. Southwest took over on downs.
 
Southwest got the ball back on a Cameron Ramnarine interception. Mkali came up with a 23-yard reception for a touchdown. The two-point attempt was good.
 
With 1:40 left in the third quarter the score was St. Anthony 15, Southwest 14.
 
St. Anthony got the ball back near midfield.
 
After three quarters of play the score was St. Anthony 15, Southwest 14.
 
Southwest fumbled the ball on the 19-yard line and St. Anthony recovered it.  
 
St. Anthony moved the ball into the red zone as Nick Peterson caught an 8-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 8:58 left in the fourth quarter the score was St. Anthony 22, Southwest 14.
 
Southwest got the ball back near midfield and Southwest committed a 15-yard penalty. Southwest punted the ball on 4th-and-23.
 
St. Anthony called a timeout with 5:50 left in the third quarter. The score was St. Anthony 22, Southwest 14.
 
St. Anthony’s Adam Webster came up with some huge runs that moved the chains and gave St. Anthony a first down. Webster came up with a 19-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 4:11 left in the fourth quarter the score was St. Anthony 29, Southwest 14.
 
Southwest got the ball back after the touchdown and they once again looked to drive the ball down the field.
 
St. Anthony came away with the 29-14 victory over Southwest.
