ST. OLAF WENT UP AGAINST AUGSBURG IN A FOOTBALL GAME

On Oct. 24 St. Olaf and Augsburg squared off in a football game. Going into the game St. Olaf had an overall record of 2-5 and was 1-4 in the MIAC. Augsburg had an overall record of 2-4 and they were 1-3 in the MIAC.
 
St. Olaf kicked off to Augsburg to start the game. Augsburg started on their own 42-yard line. Tryell Martin came up with a 10 yard reception. Augsburg’s quarterback Aryton Scott knew where his teammates were on the field and were able to get the ball into their hands. Scott found Joey Sonnenfeld for a 7-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt was no good.
 
With 12:13 left in the first quarter the score was Augsburg 6, St. Olaf 0.
 
St. Olaf got the ball back on their own 31 yard line. St. Olaf got a 61-yard touchdown run by JJ Stand. The extra point attempt was good.
 
With 11:28 left in the first quarter the score was St. Olaf 7, Augsburg 6.
 
Augsburg started on their own 45-yard line. Scott found Sonnenfeld for a 40-yard pass completion.
 
Scott kept the ball in the air. Scott found Cyrus Elliot for a 12-yard touchdown reception. The two-point conversion was no good.

Augsburg took over on their own 46-yard line. Scott found Martin for a first down reception. Scott kept the ball on the ground as he looked to get past the St. Olaf defense. Martin came up with some big runs that resulted in first downs. Augsburg continued to get the ball down the field. Martin came up with a 2-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt by Tyler Hanson was good.
 
With 5:31 left in the first quarter the score was Augsburg 19, St. Olaf 14.
 
St. Olaf took over on their own 33 yard line. St. Olaf punted on 4th-and-6. The ball went out of bounds and Augsburg took over on their on their 25-yard line.
 
Augsburg continued to move the ball down the field both in the air and on the ground. Scott was able to confuse the St. Olaf defense. Sonnenfeld came up with another first down. Sonnenfeld came up with a 9-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 57 seconds left in the first quarter the score was Augsburg 26, St. Olaf 14.
 
St. Olaf took over on their own 31-yard line.

St. Olaf took over near midfield. They couldn’t move the ball. On 4th-and-9 St. Olaf punted the ball.
 
Augsburg took over on their own 15-yard line. Scott went in the air as Dalton Peterson came up with a 39-yard first down reception. If Scott thought that he had room to run he would run and get between the defenders. Scott kicked the ball on 4th-and-1.
 
St. Olaf took over on their own 20-yard line. St. Olaf’s Troy Peterson came up with some huge receptions. St. Olaf’s JJ Strand came up with a 35-yard reception. The extra-point attempt was blocked.
 
With 9:49 left in the second quarter the score was Augsburg 26, St. Olaf 20.   
 
Augsburg took over on their own 33-yard line. Martin came up with a huge first down run that moved the chains. Scott came up with an 11-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 7:52 left in the second quarter the score was Augsburg 33, St. Olaf 20.
 
St. Olaf took over on their own 28-yard line. Peterson came up with a first down reception.  St. Olaf moved the ball down the field through the air once again. St. Olaf fumbled the ball and Augsburg recovered the ball on their own 5-yard line.
 
Augsburg couldn’t move the ball down the field and on 4th-and-5 they punted the ball.
 
St. Olaf started on the 50-yard line. They moved the ball down the field and they couldn’t move the ball. St. Olaf attempt a 29-yard field goal which was good. With 1:03 left in the second quarter the score was Augsburg 33, St. Olaf 23.
 
Augsburg took over on their own 38-yard line. Augsburg moved the ball down the field late in the game. Scott was able to find running room and made its way down the field. Augsburg attempted a 22-yard field goal which was good.
 
With 1.1 seconds left in the second quarter the score was Augsburg 36, St. Olaf 23. That was the score at halftime.
 
Augsburg kicked off to start the third quarter. St. Olaf’s Conor Yah came up with a 72-yard reception that put the ball on the 1-yard line. Strnad came up with a 1-yard reception. The extra-point attempt was not good.
 
With 14:02 left in the third quarter the score was Augsburg 36, St. Olaf 29.
 
Augsburg got the ball back on their own 30-yard line. Martin came up with some big receptions.
 
Scott came up with a 21-yard run that put the ball on the 1-yard line. Martin came up with a 1-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 11:39 left in the third quarter the score was Augsburg 43, St. Olaf 29.
 
St. Olaf took over on the 50-yard line. Peterson once again came up with some big runs that moved the chains. On 4th-and-12 St. Olaf went for it and they changed their mind late in the play and they punted it.
 
Augsburg took over on their own 11-yard line. Augsburg’s Martin came up with a 27-yard run. Scott came up with a 27-yard run. Martin came up with a 4-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt was good.
 
With 7:02 left in the third quarter the score was Augsburg 50, St. Olaf 29.
 
St. Olaf started on their own 25-yard line. St. Olaf couldn’t move the ball down the field and they punted on 4th-and-10.
