HOPKINS WENT UP AGAINST HOLY ANGELS IN FIRST GAME IN WEEK TWO OF THE MINNETONKA FALL LEAGUE

In the second week of the Minnetonka Boys Basketball Association fall league, the first game of the day was Holy Angels against Hopkins.

Hopkins started the game playing in a zone defense. Hopkins wanted to get the ball out of the net and try to score baskets in transition.

Holy Angels did a good job of rebounding early in the game. They had all five players crashing to the backboard to get in place for the rebound.

Neither team was able to go on a run early in the game. They kept the game competitive in the early goings.

Holy Angels looked to attack the basket whenever they could. They were having success doing that throughout the first half. Holy Angels was able to get some nice open looks at the basket throughout the first half. They were able to make the shots that they were taking.

Hopkins was able to go on a little bit of a run midway through the first half. They opened up a lead and Holy Angels kept on battling to chip away at the lead.

At half time the score was Hopkins 40 and Holy Angels 26.

Hopkins came out in a full court press to open up the second half. They wanted to create the most pressure on Holy Angels as they could.

Holy Angels set a lot of good picks they used the picks successfully to set their players up for good shots. They ran a motion offense throughout the game. They were not making shots that they were putting up.

Hopkins was just too strong for Holy Angels. Hopkins was a bit quicker on both ends of the ball.

Hopkins came away with the 86-46 victory over Holy Angels.
