In the final week of the Minnetonka fall league, the first game was Park Center against Wayzata. Both teams started out slow. Neither team was able to get shots that they were looking for early in the game.
Neither team was able to go on a run early in the first half. Both teams were trading baskets midway through the first half.
Park Center really fought for the rebounds on both ends of the floor. Both teams played very good defense throughout the first half.
At the end of the first half the score was Park Center 42 and Wayzata 39.
Both teams came out and played aggressively in the second half. Wayzata looked to score points quickly in transition.
The score went back and forth in the second half. Each team was trading baskets. Neither team was able to go on a run in the second half. The game was close throughout.
Wayzata had a one point 65-64 lead with 2:45 left in regulation.
Park Center used a full court press in the last two minutes in the game. They wanted to try to distract Park Center and not have them get the ball up the court.
In a game that came down to the wire, Park Center was able to come away with the 71-69 victory.
