MOOSE LAKE/WILLOW RIVER TOOK ON LUVERNE IN THE CLASS AA SEMI FINAL GAME

ML/WR got on the board early as Austin Jacobson was able to make a rushing touchdown. The extra point attempt was good. With that early touchdown the score was ML/WR 7 and Luverne 0.

Luverne was able to find the end zone with 2:38 left to go in the first quarter. The extra point attempt was no good.

At the end of the first quarter the score was Luverne 6 and ML/WR 17.

Austin Jacobson had a three-yard run for a touchdown with 11:25 left in the second quarter.

Both of these teams were playing hard and looked well throughout the first half.

At the end of the first half the score was ML/WR 17 and Luverne 6.

ML/WR was able to find the end zone again with a touchdown by Michael Unzen’s 22-yard run.

Luverne was able to score a touchdown with 3:14 left to go in the third quarter. At the end of the third quarter the score was 24-12.

Mike Bennett for Moose Lake was able to make a field goal with 9:33 left to go in the fourth quarter.

Luverne was able to get into the end zone on a Talyor Mulder four-yard touchdown run. The extra point was no good.

The final score of the game was ML/WR 27 and Luverne 21.

ML/WR was able to come away with the victory. I was able to talk to ML/WR head coach Dave Louzek and Austin Jacobson about the contest.
