WHITE BEAR LAKE TOOK ON THE WAYZATA TROJANS IN THE CLASS AAAA GIRLS BASKETBALL SEMI FINAL CONTEST

White Bear Lake took on Wayzata in the semi final game in the Minnesota State High School League girls’ state basketball tournament.

Both of these teams played very tough and aggressively from the beginning of the game. Wayzata started in a zone defense. They wanted to slow down this White Bear Lake team.

Wayzata kept attacking the basket on the offensive end. They wanted to make the easy baskets. They took their time on the offensive end.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. The first half was very close. Both teams played very aggressive defense. Neither team was able to get an easy shot.

Both teams went on a three point shooting spree late in the first half. Both teams were able to make and drain three point shots.

At half time the score was White Bear Lake 32 and Wayzata 19.

Both teams played very hard. White Bear Lakes Julia Dysthe was able to find her shot. She was able to beat her defenders.

White Bear Lake played very well on both ends of the floor. They were able to contain Wayzata and shut them down on both ends of the court.

White Bear Lake was able to come away with the 58-45 victory over Wayzata. The leading scorers for White Bear Lake were Julie Dysthe with 20 points, and Alexis Foley with 17 points. The leading scorers for Wayzata were Kristi Kuhn and Marissa Grossfeld with 11 points.
