ANOKA RAMSEY WENT UP AGAINST CENTRAL LAKES IN A MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME

Anoka Ramsey and Central Lakes squared off against each other in a men’s basketball game. Both teams looked to push the ball down the floor and came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.

The score went back and forth throughout the first half. Neither team went on a run. 

Anoka Ramsey’s Trenton Pollard found his mid-range touch as he came up with jump shots. He was also able to make layups consistently in the first half. 

Central Lakes swung the ball around the 3-point line as they took time off the clock. They looked to shoot the ball with 10 seconds left on the shot clock.

Neither team went on a huge run in the first half. 


At halftime the score was Central Lakes 37, Anoka Ramsey 34. 

As the second half got underway Anoka Ramsey’s Kashif Hayes came up with 3-point baskets and layups. He was able to get to the basket at will on offense. On the defensive end Hayes came up with huge stops as he slowed his man down that he was guarding.

Anoka Ramsey’s Jerry Butler looked to get the ball into his teammates has as he brought the ball down the floor. He had good court awareness as he knew where his teammates were on the floor as he passed the ball to them for assists. Teammate Tyler Matsen came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. 


Central Lakes did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball around the 3-point line and was able to ware down the Anoka Ramsey defense. 

The score went back and forth throughout the second half. Neither team went on a significant run. 

Anoka Ramsey fought hard throughout the game. They attacked the basket late in the contest. Pollard came up with huge shots down the stretch.

The game came down to the wire. In a hard fought game by both teams Anoka Ramsey came away with the 72-69 victory over Central Lakes.


The leading scorers for Anoka Ramsey were Pollard with 37 points and Hayes with 12 points and Matsen had 11 points. 

The leading scorers for Central Lakes was Alex Koch with 15 points.
