PARK CENTER WENT UP AGAINST PATRICK HENRY IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Park Center and Patrick Henry in a boys’ basketball game. Park Center came out flat. They had a difficult time shooting the ball and were not able to a shooting rhythm early.

Henry was able to make fast-break layups in transition.

Henry’s Jacarius Ford and Demetrius Edwards Brown both came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. On the defensive end they were able to get steals.

It took while for Park Center to get their offense clicking. Park Center swung the ball around the 3-point line as they looked to get Henry out of their zone.


Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls. There were several jump balls in the first half.

Henry’s Stephen Kennedy came up with some huge defensive stops in the first half. He also was able to come up with steals and layups.

Park Center called a timeout with 3:43 left in the first half. The score was Henry 33, Park Center 19.

Henry was able to score baskets in transition. They did a good job of getting the ball down the floor and making layups.

Park Center’s Amani Hooker came up with an offensive presence as he took the ball down the floor and was able to make layups. Hooker also did a good job of getting his teammates involved in the offense.

The score at halftime was Henry 37, Park Center 28.

As the second half got underway Henry continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition. They were able to get past the Park Center defenders and got to the basket.

Henry went to a zone defense. Park Center had a difficult time shooting against the zone.

Park Center called a timeout with 12:39 left in the first half. The score was Henry 47, Park Center 34.

Both teams stepped up their defensive intensity in the second half. Both teams had to work hard to get their shots off.

Park Center never had the lead. They got down at the start of the game and couldn’t recover.

Park Center did come up with layups late in the second half.

Ford continued to come up with huge baskets late in the game. The defense had a difficult time slowing him down.

Park Center started out slow. They were able to get their shots to drop in the second half but that wasn’t enough however.

Henry came up with 76-65 victory over Park Center.  

Henry’s Ford ended the game with 25 points.
