Prior Lake took a lot of time off the clock as they swung the ball around the 3-point line.
Prior Lake called a timeout with 10:05 left in the first half. The score was Eastview 8, Prior Lake 5.
The defensive pressure that both teams applied made it difficult for the other team to take open shots in the first half.
At halftime the score was Eastview 27, Prior Lake 21.
As the second half got underway Eastview looked to get the ball into the hands of Drew Guebert and Alex Bangh both of who were able to come up with mid-range jump shots.
The score continued to go back and forth throughout the second half.
Prior Lake’s Kevin McKiernan came up with deep 3-point baskets in the second half. His teammates did a good job getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Eastview called a timeout with 11:40 left in regulation. The score was Prior Lake 39, Eastview 32.
Prior Lake continued to come up with shots to stay in the game.
Guebert continued to attack the basket and come up with layups in transition.
The game was close. Both teams came up with huge baskets down the stretch.
Prior Lake came away with the 70-68 victory over Eastview.
The leading scorer for Prior Lake was Kevin McKiernan with 29 points.
The leading scorers for Eastview were Sean Ryan. Martin Mitchell, Drew Guebert and Keegan Dickson all with 13 points.
