BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY WENT UP AGAINST PRIOR LAKE IN A BOYS BASKETBALL GAME

On Jan. 7 Bloomington Kennedy and Prior Lake squared off in a basketball game. It took a while for these teams to get their offenses going.
 
Prior Lake’s Connor Bair  played well on the low block. He was able to get rebounds off of missed shots.
 
Kennedy called a timeout with 13:55 in the first half. The score was Prior Lake 8, Kennedy 2.
 
The pace of the game was quick as both teams were able to race up and down the floor. They were each able to get baskets in transition.
 
Prior Lake’s Jason Faul shot the ball well throughout the game. He was able to get his shot going in the first half. Faul was able to find his teammate Jon Sobaski, who was able to get hot in the first half.
 
Kennedy’s Dejon Davis came up with some nice shots late in the first half. They were able to take the lead with just over 3:00 left in the first half.
 
At halftime the score was Kennedy 31, Prior Lake 24.
 
As the second half got underway Bair came up with some nice layups early.
 
Kennedy kept on getting the ball into Davis’s hands. Davis did a good job of getting to the basket and making his shots.
 
The score continued to go back and forth midway through the first half. Prior Lake continued to make tough shots. The Kennedy defense made it difficult for Prior Lake to get make shot because of the pressure.
 
The score was close throughout.
 
Prior Lake continued to get the ball into to Bair’s hands.
 
Neither team gave up easy baskets in the contest. It was a hard fought game throughout.
 
Kennedy came away with the 63-59 victory over Prior Lake.
 
The leading scorers for Kennedy were Davis with 19 points and Lewis with 15 points.
 
The leading scorers for Prior Lake were Bair with 20, Faul 19 and Sobaski 11 points.
