MINNETONKA TOOK ON ROSEVILLE IN A BOYS BASKETBALL GAME

Minnetonka and Roseville went up against each other in a boys basketball game. The score went back and forth early.
 
His teammates knew where he was on the floor and they were able to get him the ball where he could make his shots.
 
Minnetonka ran the court well and was able to make baskets in transition.  They passed the ball around the three-point line as they were able to get everyone involved in the offense.
 
Minnetonka’s Delshon Strickland was all over the floor. He stepped up big as he knocked down some big shots midway through the first half.  On the defensive end Strickland was able to slow down the
guy that he was guarding.
 
Roseville attacked the basket and they looked to get good shots in their offense but the Minnetonka defense made it difficult for them to get open looks at the basket.
 
At halftime the score was Minnetonka 46, Roseville 34.
 
Gardner continued to shoot the ball well in the second half.
 
Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls. There were many jump balls throughout the game.
 
Roseville’s Derek Magnuson came up with some nice jump shots. His teammates gave him the ball on the elbow and he was able to knock down his jumper.
 
Roseville’s Kyler Briggity scored tied the score at 59 with just over 8:00 left in the second half.
 
The score continued to go back and forth late in the second half. Briggity stepped behind the three-point line and was able to drain shots. The defense couldn’t slow him down.
 
The score went back and forth late in the contest. Minnetonka’s Mitch Felknor scored a layup with 3.7 seconds to give them a two point lead. That was the game winner. Minnetonka came away with the 87-85 victory over Roseville.
 
Minnetonka was lead in scoring by Careino Gurley with 22 points. Roseville’s Gardner finished with 22 points as well.
