THE ANOKA TORNADOES COULDN’T SLOW DOWN THE ORIOLES FROM OSSEO HIGH SCHOOL IN A BOYS BASKETBALL GAME

The Anoka Tornadoes went up against the Osseo Orioles in a boys basketball game on Jan. 17.

Osseo’s Conner Kittleson came up with the first basket on a layup. His teammate Wheeler Baker came up with a nice some nice shots.

Anoka swung the ball around the three-point line as they wanted to try to generate offense.

Osseo’s Jordan Dembley was able to make his shots that he put up. Osseo knew where everyone was on the floor. Baker kept on making shots throughout the first half.  Allan Anderson looked to push the tempo.

Anoka was not able to get into an offensive shooting rhythm throughout the first half. Even though they were not able to hit shots that they put up they were not afraid to shoot the ball.

In a defensive-minded first half the score was Osseo 33, Anoka 14.

As the second half got underway Osseo’s Giovanni Pastrano came up with some big jump shots.

Osseo continued to score baskets at will throughout the second half.

Osseo was all over the floor in the second half. They were able to hit their shots with ease. Osseo’s Dembley continued to hit shots late in the contest.

Osseo’s Baker was all over the floor. Baker and Dembley were the two main scorers for Osseo. Their teammates did a good job of getting them the ball in spots where they could shoot it. The Anoka defense couldn’t slow down Baker and Dembley.

Osseo came away with the 70-34 victory over Anoka.

The leading scorers for Osseo were Dembley and Baker with 19 points.
