Minneapolis Roosevelt and Hopkins went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game. Hopkins looked to push the ball down the floor and score layups in transition.
Hopkins’ Xavier White looked to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups early. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it. Hopkins swung the ball around the 3-point line as they looked for their shot.
Roosevelt struggled to shoot the ball in the first half. Even though they struggled shooting the ball they kept on looking for their shots.
Roosevelt called a timeout with 13:43 left in the first half. The score was Hopkins 13, Roosevelt 0.
Hopkins took their time on the offensive end and they were able to turn Roosevelt over. Hopkins was able to come up with layups on the offensive end.
Hopkins wasn’t afraid to take deep 3-point shots. They all rebounded the ball and attacked the glass. Hopkins looked to score baskets in transition.
Hopkins applied pressure on the defensive end and was able to turn Roosevelt over.
Hopkins’ Kerwin Walton came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. If Walton didn’t think that he had a good shot, he would pass it to one of his teammates.
Roosevelt’s Guled Abib tried to give his team some offensive power as he looked for his shot throughout the first half.
Walton came up with steals and deep 3-point shots late in the first half.
At halftime, the score was Hopkins 47, Roosevelt 13.
As the second half got underway Hopkins continued to move the ball down the floor and got into their offense.
Roosevelt continued to look to the basket throughout the second half.
Hopkins continued to look for their shots late in the game.
Roosevelt had a difficult time scoring the ball throughout the game. Even though they had a tough time scoring the ball they continued to attack the basket.
Hopkins came away with the 63-22 victory over Roosevelt.
