ALBANY WENT UP AGAINST MONTICELLO IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Albany and Monticello squared off in a boys’ basketball game. Albany looked to move the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Monticello’s Tyler Frie came up with some huge mid-range jump shots.

Albany’s Joel Kline came up with layups. The defense had a hard time slowing down Kline.

Neither team went on a run in the first half.

There were several ties and lead changes in the first half.

Monticello was able to set the tempo late in the first half.

At halftime the score was Monticello 32, Albany 28.

As the second half got underway Albany came up with huge baskets.

Albany’s Kenny Weber was able to come up with mid-range jump shots. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Neither team went on a run early in the second half.

Monticello did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They spread the ball around and did a good job of passing the ball to each other.

Weber got hot late in the contest. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Albany was able to make shots late in the contest.

Albany came away with the 75-63 victory over Monticello.

The leading scorers for Monticello were Frie with 19 points, and Grathwohl with 11 points.

The leading scorers for Albany were Reaker with 23 points and Weber with 19 points.
