MINNEAPOLIS NORTH WENT UP AGAINST LAKEVILLE NORTH IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

In the third game of the day Minneapolis North took on Lakeville North. North looked to move the ball down the floor quickly as they looked for fast-break layups.

Minneapolis North used a full court press as they were able to frustrate the Lakeville North offense.

Lakeville North looked to use a full-court press to disrupt the Minneapolis North’s offense.

Lakeville North looked to get Connor Flack the ball in spots where he could shoot the ball.

The game remained close throughout the first half.  

Lakeville North’s Drew Stewart stepped up and knocked down deep 3-point shots. The Minneapolis

North defense had a difficult time guarding Stewart.

Lakeville North got their first lead with just over 7:30 left in the first half.

There were several ties and lead changes in the second half.

Minneapolis North’s Isaac Johnson stepped up and knocked down deep 3-point shots. The Lakeville
North’s defense couldn’t contain Isaac Johnson.

The pace was fast in the first half. Both teams looked to score fast break baskets.

At halftime the score was Minneapolis North 38 Lakeville North 37.

As the second half got underway Lakeville North came out firing on all cylinders. They passed the ball well around the 3-point line and were able to make 3-point baskets.

Minneapolis North called a timeout with 9:38 left in the second half. The score was Lakeville North 58, Minneapolis North 48.

Minneapolis North attacked the basket and continued to look for layups in the second half. They came up with fast-break layups. Minneapolis North’s Ahzerik Rodgers came up with some huge layups in the second half. That kept Minneapolis North in the game.

Minneapolis North kept the game close late in the game. They came up with some huge baskets late in game. Tyler Johnson came up with some key deep shots.

Minneapolis North called a timeout with 3:51 left in regulation. The score was Lakeville North 69, Minneapolis North 65.

The game came down to the wire.

Lakeville North came away with the 83-76 victory over Minneapolis North.

The leading scorers for Minneapolis North were Tyler Johnson with 23 points, and Isaac Johnson with 20 points.

The leading scorers for Lakeville North were Carter Brooks with 16 points and Flack with 13 points.
