HOPKINS WENT UP AGAINST MAPLE GROVE IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Hopkins and Maple Grove went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game. Maple Grove looked to move the ball down the floor quickly as they looked to score layups in transition.

Hopkins had difficulty shooting the ball early. Maple Grove did a good job of moving the ball down the floor and scoring baskets in transition.

Maple Grove’s Reed Nikko was all over the floor. On the offensive end of the floor he was able to come up with some huge shots.

Hopkins used multiple defenses as they looked for steals.

Hopkins called a timeout with 6:36 left in the first half. The score was Maple Grove 30, Hopkins 23.

Hopkins continued to struggle to shoot the ball in the first half.

At halftime the score was Maple Grove 45, Hopkins 29.

Maple Grove’s Brad Davison was all over the floor. Davison was able to get to the basket and hit mid-range jump shots.

Hopkins continued to struggle to shoot the ball throughout the second half.

Hopkins went to a man-to-man defense as they looked for turnovers.

Maple Grove looked to get the ball into the hands of Tywhon Pickford. Pickford came up with steals and was able to get to the basket.

Hopkins got hot late in the contest. But they couldn’t get ahead of Maple Grove. Maple Grove came away with the 75-67 victory over Hopkins.

The leading scorer for Maple Grove was Davison with 30 points.

The leading scorer for Hopkins was Shahid with 22 points.
