Providence Academy and Albany squared off in a boys’ basketball game. The score went back and forth early.
Albany was able to get the ball into the hands of Nick Reaker. He was able to get to the basket and make layups and jump shots.
Neither team went on a run in the first half. Both teams played hard on the defensive end making it difficult for the other to get shots off.
There were multiple ties and lead changes in the first half.
At halftime the score was Albany 22, Providence 21.
As the second half for underway both teams continued to take their time on the offensive end.
Albany’s Nick Reaker came up with mid-range jump shots in the second half. Teammate Kyle Birr also came up with baskets in the second half. Joel Kline came up with shots. All three players could shoot the ball from anywhere on the court. Also Nick Reaker and Kenney Weber each were able to come up with mid-range jump shots late in the contest.
Providence had a difficult time scoring baskets in the second half. They couldn’t get their shots to fall.
Albany was able to get their shots to fall late in the second half. They were able to come away with the 53-37 victory over Providence.
