Sartell and St. Cloud Apollo squared off in a boys’ basketball game. The score went back and forth early.
Apollo looked to spread the ball around the 3-point line.
Apollo’s Ethan Novacinski came up with some mid-range jump shots in the first half that kept his team in the game.
Sartell passed the ball around the 3-point line as they looked to spread the Apollo offense out. Apollo was able to get everyone involved in the offense.
At halftime the score was tied at 21.
As the second half got underway both teams continued to pass the ball around the 3-point line and take time off the clock as they looked for good shots.
The score went back and forth throughout the second half. Neither team went on a run.
Novacinski continued to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the second half. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.
Both teams were evenly match and they both had difficulty shooting the ball.
As the overtime got underway both teams continued to push the ball down the floor and attack the basket.
Apollo continued to look to get the ball into the hands of Novacinski. He was able to come up with mid-range jump shots late.
The score did go back and forth throughout the overtime period.
St. Cloud Apollo was able to come away with the 58-42 victory over Sartell.
