CHAMPLIN PARK WENT UP AGAINST APPLE VALLEY IN A BOYS’ BASKETBALL GAME

Champlin Park and Apple Valley went up against each other in a boys’ basketball game. The score went back and forth early.

Apple Valley’s Brock Bertram was able to come up with rebounds on both ends of the floor.

Champlin Park wasn’t afraid to pull up for deep 3-point baskets. Champlin Park’s Theo John came up with layups on the offensive end.

Champlin Park’s Marty Hill came up with mid-range jump shots.

Apple Valley called a timeout with 9:05 left in the first half. The score was tied at 13.

Champlin Park did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball around the 3-point line. They also were able to get the ball inside to John.

Neither team went on a run in the first half.

Apple Valley’s Jordan Bolton was able to score on fade away jump shots.

Camplin Park’s JT Gibson came up with layups. He was also able to come up with 3-point shots in the first half.

Apple Valley called a timeout with 6:06 left in the first half. The score was Champlin Park 25, Apple Valley 18.

Champlin Park passed the ball around the 3-point line as they looked to confuse Apple Valley on the offensive end.

Champlin Park looked to trap Apple Valley near mid court. They were able to turn Apple Valley over and make layups off the steals.

Champlin Park called a timeout with 2:42 left in the first half. The score was Champlin Park 35, Apple Valley 22.

Champlin Park continued to make layups late in the first half.

The score at halftime was Champlin Park 39, Apple Valley 30.

As the second half got underway Apple Valley’s Tre jones came up with mid-range jump shots.

Gibson continued to get to the basket and hit shots. Gibson also was able to step up and drain deep 3-pint up and drain deep 3-point baskets.

John looked to get rebounds on offense and as able to get layups off the rebound. Champlin Park looked to get to the basket and was able to come up with basket.

Apple Valley called a timeout with 10:51 left in regulation. The score was Champlin Park 53, Apple Valley 48.

Gibson got his 1,000th point on a layup with just under 9 minutes to go. Gibson kept on attacking the basket and was able to come up with mid-range jump shots.

Apple Valley continued to keep the defensive pressure on Champlin Park.

Gibson came up with huge baskets down the stretch. The Apple Valley defense had a hard time slowing down Gibson.

Apple Valley made a run late in the game. They attacked the basket as they looked to make layups late.

Champlin Park came away with the 79-74 victory over Apple Valley.

The leading scorer for Apple Valley was Trent Jr. with 23 points.

The leading scorer for Champlin Park was Gibson with 38 points.
