In the second game of the day Eagan took on Orono. The game got off to a slow start. Both teams took a while to figure out what the other team was doing.
Orono moved the ball down the floor well. They got everyone involved in the offense. Orono also did a good job of moving the ball down the floor and scoring baskets in transition.
Eagan had a hard time shooting the ball throughout the first half. They couldn’t hit shots that they put up.
Orono was quicker than Eagan in the first half. They did a good job of getting to the basket and making shots. Orono also did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense.
At halftime the score was Orono 34, Eagan 22.
As the second half got underway Orono continued to push the ball down the floor and swinging the ball around the 3-point line.
Eagan kept on struggled shooting the ball in the second half. Even though they struggled on the
offensive end they kept on shooting the ball.
Eagan’s Sam Schuberg came up with huge layups in the second half. Eagan played man-to-man defense in the second half. They wanted to put pressure on the Orono offense.
The score remained close throughout the game.
Orono came away with the 58-53 victory over Eagan.
