ARMSTRONG WENT UP AGAINST WAYZATA IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Armstrong and Wayzata squared off against each other in a boys basketball game on Nov. 24. It was the first game for both schools.
 
Wayzata started in a zone defense. They looked slow down the Armstrong defense.
 
Wayzata looked to score baskets in transition. They were able to get to the basket and make layups.
 
Wayzata got everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball to each other and called out picks on the defensive end.

At halftime the score was Wayzata 39, Armstrong 29.
 
As the second half got underway Wayzata continued to attack the basket and looked for baskets in transition.
 
Armstrong came up with some big shots midway through the second half.
 
Wayzata called a timeout with 13:26 left in regulation. The score was Wayzata 43, Armstrong 37.
 
Armstrong continued to attack the basket. Armstrong’s Isaiah Poster came up with 3-point baskets off the bench. He also slowed down his man he was guarding.
 
Armstrong kept attacking the basket and chipped away with the deficit. But they had a difficult time shooting the ball.
 
Wayzata came away with the 83-65 victory over Armstrong.
